Great place for old school Michigan eats. Got the chili cheese coneys on buy one get on free Thursday and they were delicious. The chili is on point and the snap when you bite into the dog is the best. Just the right amount of cheese and mustard to compliment everything. The chili cheese fries are to die for, especially with the amazing hand cut fries. Add in some delicious Labatt beer and the super rich and satisfying Sanders bumpy cake. Give this place a shot, there is something for everyone on the menu!
We went to see how good the food was and I have been trying to find a burger that takes me back to better years. Well I found it and was presently surprised how good the fries were too. I will definitely be going back to see if the dogs are as good as the burgers and have more fries.
Like being back home in Michigan! I love coney dogs, and that's something I miss so much in Arizona. Thank you so much for satisfying the crave. Now we need one in Tucson!
We're always looking for a great hot dog place. A friend who works at a local restaurant and is from Detroit, told us about this place. We went there a few days ago and got the 2 dog/fries/soda combo. Best dog I've had in Phoenix - period. We loved it so much we went back a few days later and tried the chili burgers. We lived in LA for a long time and Tommy's had the best chili burgers there. The ones at Detroit Coney Grill are really, really close. Great food, reasonable prices, nice people. Can't ask for more
We stopped here for lunch after visiting the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park since one of our party was from Michigan. I had a Detroit coney for the first time, and was impressed with the chili dog (and I'm a Dodger Dog connoisseur). My wife is a vegetarian and loved all the veg/vegan options. The burger was excellent and the owner was extremely friendly as he also bussed the order. There are lots of different food options for a variety of tastes.

I can sum up the experience my team had in 3 words: "Overly greasy, mess." The meals had decent flavor, but the sheer amount of oil used was a real turn off. We tried a variety of menu items, all of them had a similar greasy treatment. The tater tots were good.If you like this style of food, this place seems average.
Came here for my Dad who was craving a Hit Dog. After some searching saw this and we came to eat. The Hot Dogs were greats as well as the fries. Place is spaced out well and has a Bar as well. Customer Service is great and got to watch a Baseball Game while dinning in. A great place to eat and has an atmosphere like at the ball park. Great for us who arr out of state and enjoyed the awesome Detroit Sports History. Hit this place up if you are out of town or near the Spring Training Grounds.
Well this spot has been running for a few years in my neighborhood and I am very familiar with Coney Island hotdogs in Detroit been to Detroit way to many times. So I have wanted to just drive thru and get a dog but this is a carry out or sit down restaurant serving fast food. I finally convinced the wife to try it one night and off we went. I was shocked at the amount of people drinking at the bar it was full. The restaurant was empty we were the only diners. Happy Hour had just ended so I expected a mass exodus but they were mostly all still there when we left. I wanted to try the hot dog and a cheeseburger which I did. Nothing remarkable nothing special it was just food, now I wasn't expecting a gourmet meal. I was just hoping it would be something better than MacDonald's., and the french fries were awful. They seemed to be serving a crew at the bar and it seemed like everyone knew each other. I think they would be better off with a drive thru window so people could just grab a dog and go. The place isn't horrible inside very bright and white but I don't want to sit there for an hour eating fast food. Meanwhile I spent $60 bucks for a fast food meal with drinks.
Love love love. Super tasty and the chili is amazing. Coney dogs superior annnnd they have the original superman icecream.
