Suggested by a friend after some sports, was delighted after the visit. When he brought it up I did not think I would have many options at a British pub concept that serves pasties, but the online menu proved me wrong.I tried the curried carrot soup, curried potatoes, and the vegan oggie pastie. The soup was flavourful, the provided bread had a good tooth to it. The potatoes were just comfort food aplenty. The oggie was a properly filling, well stuffed with ingredients, and the shell on it was cooked to a crispy perfection, even better with the provided sauce.I am excited to go back and try some other varieties, but NB: we were lucky and they had every pastie in house that night, but that is not always the case. The decor was like a nice, chill British pub and all of the staff were helpful and upbeat. Great place, indeed.
Had the Oggie pasty. The crust was crispy and perfect. The filling was good too. Pairs great with a beer. Service staff was really friendly as well
Cornish Pasty is such a unique place to eat. I've enjoyed every pasty I've ordered. From left to right in the photos: Chicken Pot Pie, Meatball, Bread & Butter Side, and Apple Pie. The bread and butter is good but its a little too much bread when I eat it with a pasty.
Pasties, in my opinion, are one of the most perfect foods ever made. Cornish Pasty Co does them right by having a ton of options that range from standard to more adventurous. We visited twice while in Scottsdale for two weeks. On the first visit, we tried the Spicy Asiago Chicken and the Chicken Tikka Masala. Both were very good - fresh and hot from the oven. The masala even had a little bit of kick to it, which was very welcome. The oven chips were fantastic. I like my fries on the flimsy, almost underdone side, and these guys truly delivered. YUM. Our second visit was still good, but not the "WOW" that we had on the first. This time we opted for a Chicken Greek and Bangers and Mash. The greek wasn't as flavorful as I'd hoped for and the 'mash' in the bangers was more like a 'smash'. It was nearly as whole potato just kinda smashed a little. The chips were a bit too done and sort of smallish. I'm chalking it up to just one of those slightly off days due to pandemic craziness and not holding it against them. I'd most definitely go here again and try one of the myriad other tasty sounding hand pies. The vibe is fun and looks as much like an old world pub as you'd be able to pull off in the desert. Fun place, good food and certainly lives up to the hype.
We came for the dessert: Banoffee Pie and Apple Caramel Pasty. What a fun treat! And the ice cream tasted locally made. Home made caramel, wonderful crust or pocket, whichever you are enjoying, friendly atmosphere. The only reason it gets 4 stars is the service. She checked once and never came back. When she did we were just estimating the cost and leaving the cash on the table. I don't think she got much of a tip. A shame. We were at the Old Town location.
Absolutely delicious! Service was great, ambiance was good. Only downside, couldn't find anything my 6 year old liked.
First time at this location: Massively understaffed. Only two waitstaff during the evening Sunday shift. My friends and I arrived at 6:30pm. We had to ask how to order because no one spoke a word to us as we walked in. We made direct wye contact with a waitstaff with black hair multiple times and they didn’t acknowledge us. One of my group had to ask how to order after sitting for ten minutes because no one spoke to us. It took us 40 minutes of waiting, after finally receiving our menus, to get any kind of attention because our assigned waitstaff wasn’t informed that they had an additional table. An additional 40 minutes to be served. And then a following 40 minutes to get the bill. The food was good. The waitstaff that was assigned to our table was nice. But absolutely not worth that wait. They need to up the staff to more than two people for a dinner service or hire people who acknowledge their patrons early on so we can understand what’s going on.
Various pictures show what a pasty is and they're good. No skimping here. The Ruben Pasty is loaded with everything that makes a Ruben a Ruben. My only objection to this place is that they are often out of whatever you order, and that includes the beer, so try Cornish Pasty but while looking at the menu, be sure to have what you want in mind, and what you want when you're told they're out of that and what you want when you're told they're out of your second choice too. Fortunately, the menu is extensive enough so that you'll be happy and full in the end,
This establishment makes amazing Pasties originating from Cornwall County, England. The quality is just as good if not better then the ones I've had in England. I definitely recommend this place. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed you did!
So much yummy! Friendly staff, a comfortable interior, and FAB food make this a great lunch spot. The pasty was originally made for miners to eat during underground shifts. The restaurant is full of old-time photos of Cornish miners - including young children - great historical record of how dirty and dangerous mining really was.
