The food was delicious with generous portions. Service was excellent. The margaritas were great. My only negative would be the red enchilada sauce. It was a bit dark and the taste somewhat overpowering. Next time I'll try the green enchilada sauce for comparison. We will definitely be back for dinner in the future.

I like the location and the restaurant itself. The food tastes is very good.

Excellent food and service! Would definitely recommend.

Great tasting gluten free spinach enchiladas. Service was quick and friendly. The smell of burning tortillas was strong.

Service was abysmal. Too 20 minutes before anyone came forever a drink order. Food was mediocre. Steak fajitas were more like vegetable fajitas. Checked ion Chimichanga tasted like boiled chicken...which is to say, tasteless. If you need a good place to waste two hours...this is not it. Here you just waste two hours, there is nothing good. Prices were definitely on the overpriced side.

Not sure how this restaurant has so many positive reviews. Perhaps we visited on an off night. Margarita and the chips and salsa were very good. Wife ordered the classic shredded chicken tacos. They were bland and tasteless. She could only eat one. I ordered the street taco combo. The carnitas were extremely dry and had no flavour. Rice and beans were fine. Our server Alexis was excellent. Won’t ever be back. Dennys has better Mexican food.

Our group of 8 mature men come to Scottsdale every May - 20 years and counting- to play lots of great golf and eat good food. Our previous go to Mexican eatery was Blue Adobe but they sold out and we needed a new place. Ajo Al got good reviews so we tried it. Meh. Service was fine, the staff was attentive but the food was ordinary at best.Maybe an off day for the kitchen but we are one and done. Sorry to be a "Debbie Downer" but there are more places to try for a really good New Mexico/Southwestern style dinner.

Wife and I had a bit of a hotel issue so we ended up at a property close to this restaurant without being able to do much research. We walked to the restaurant and they seated us quickly. It was a Wed night and we had no res. We ordered a simple Mexican pizza and a pitcher of margaritas. The staff was awesome. The Mexican pizza was a lot of food for us but it tasted even better reheated the next day. The pitcher of margaritas were a good value, very tasty, and much needed after our stressful hours of having to find a last minute hotel.

Fantastic meal! Had the Carne Asada Burro and it was excellent, a house special. We were in a large group and their staff did a terrific job, way to go Ajo Al’s team.

Just ate there last night! Birthday party celebration for my grandson. Group of 20. Service was excellent!!! Everyone got served at the same time and the food was great,!
