Good food, not so good service. We went in today and placed a to go order at 5:06 pm. While we waited, 2 others were waiting and were given their orders when ready. As we waited, orders were coming out, but mostly to the drive thru window, one order to a table. After a full 30 minutes, my wife asked about our order. The order taker checked the drive thru orders and there it was, sitting for maybe 15 minutes. Workers saw us standing and waiting, but no one cared to check on our order. Drive thru orders appeared to be the main priority, in house and to go orders, not so much.
Call it a result of the long pandemic or what have you - the inconsistency of this particular location leaves us anxiously waiting for Costa Vida to open up a Queen Creek location again.Don't get me wrong - the staff is very nice, but every time I go to pick-up food, it's never ready when it's supposed to be and the employee retention late "may" be an issue. There always seems to be new people in there. It takes them quite a bit just to "find" my order. This is disconcerting, since I'm using their app on my phone to place the order. When we first moved into this area and experienced Someburros for the first time, my wife and I were elated! We started ordering from there once a week - and that was during the height of the pandemic in 2020/2021.Over the past six to nine months, there have been chronic issues with portion sizes, orders being filled incorrectly and missing items. Now, I don't leave without checking the bag thoroughly - and the majority of the time something is missing. It's understandable that there's labor shortages, food shortages, costs are rising, etc. - but please don't make us (your customers,) continue to have chronic issues with service and food. After reading all of the customer reviews over the past many months, there's a stark/consistent message. Someburros needs to get back to the way it use to be, or post something in your establishments that explains what's going on and your action plan to fix it. That's what loyal customers want - not to have to respond via email to well-intentioned management responses to these reviews.
Prices are going up and portions are getting less. $12 for taquitos that would have been better out of a frozen box and burritos that are very over priced for 80% tortilla and 20% meat (and that’s being generous). Someburros used to be sooo much better but after the last 5 attempts for redemption I won’t be going back.
All of our past experiences at this location have been great and I don't like to complain, but I felt like this really rubbed me the wrong way, especially due to the holiday that just went "that much worse" because of this experience. It's rare for me to share the bad side of my experiences, but I feel the need in this situation. It's not terrible and I believe if I said something it would have been made right.I ordered online through the app in the parking lot. Was told via the app it would take 18 minutes to receive my order. I waited 5 minutes and went inside and waited another 5 minutes before getting in line to let them know I was there to pick up my order.I then proceeded to wait 30 minutes while customer after customer went by, getting their food. I finally went back to the counter and said, once again, that I was there... and they handed me the bag that had been sitting on the counter for the past 30 minutes! The same bag that I saw nearly every employee look at the tag, dismiss, and move on from without a second glance, nor a question of whether or not the customer is there.Needless to say, by the time I got the mother's day dinner home... it wasn't exactly hot and delicious....
Food is typically good. I've been 4 times and on one occasion the tortillas were incredibly dry and hard to eat. They also seemed understaffed on a Friday night where one overwhelmed teenage girl had to buss all the tables. I'm always baffled how much it costs for what I get. The quantities are fine but even pre-covid the prices seemed high for Mexican food. Did an online pickup and had to adjust the pickup time to earlier, with the woman on the phone somewhat dismissively saying that she would change it... I had my fears that this wasn't going to happen, and showed up with a very nice helpful gentleman at the counter telling me that the order still said the original later pickup time. They worked hard and fast to get me the food as quickly as possible, and overall obviously can't expect perfection and everything, but each experience going here seem to have some decent problems.
The food is excellent here. I ordered the Fundido that had jalapeño cheese sauce all over it with chicken and it was fantastic. This is not a baby friendly restaurant. Our 1 year old baby was making normal I’m bored sounds without any constant crying and we were asking politely to leave or take her out. We left and won’t be coming back for many years if ever lol. We’ve never been asked to leave any restaurant ever but this place was kind of like a library.
There is a good variety of food here. Margaritas too! The Desserts were GOOD! It is a good family place to eat!
Food was great.. however kinda messy place.. many of the empty tables were dirty and had food crumbs everywhere.. I had to wipe down my own table... and trash bins were all overflowing.. service was good.. and food was good.
This location has the friendliest staff and is always kept tidy and clean. Portions are perfect, plates comes out rather quickly and the food is always delicious! If you love spice I recommend ordering a side of the jalapeño ranch dressing. I appreciate that they have salt and pepper on the tables because everyone has different preferences when it comes to salting food. I have never been disappointed in my order and highly recommend this Queen Creek location!
Today I went into Queen Creek Someburros and had one of my best experiences at this location. Very clean, all the staff was incredibly friendly! I was first welcomed by two of the employees (Makia, Jordan) I ordered a very decently complicated order for my family with a lot of requests and it still came out made perfectly and quickly made and brought out to our table! If you’re in town and need a quick bite to eat I highly suggest this someburros
