Great place to eat family owned, owner always comes out to visit with us. Food is always on point, prices are affordable. A must place to try when u are in Prescott. Excellent customer service.
A little hard to find, but worth the hunt. It is intimate, only a dozen or so tables and service is very personable.Okay warning - their salsa is fire, fire meaning so hot it will melt steel. It had a nice flavor, but too hot for my tastes.Service is like the restaurant, very pleasant, very personal. The waitress also likes you to try out your Spanish on her, I think it makes her laugh. So what about the food?Salsa - hot, hot, hot.Guac - loved the diced onions and tomatoes, but needed a hint more of salt.Beans- standard fair, thinner than I like.Rice - dryer than I like.Burrito - filled with meat, good not great.Shrimp Enchilada Style - FABULOUS, large shrimp, great flavor.Parking is along the street, should be plenty of room. Service is fun and efficient.Budget- get a burrito, it will completely fill you up.Splurge - get an appetizer, a combo or special plate and dessert. You will be full.
This restaurant had amazing authentic cuisine run by a great family. The seating was small and quaint but great ambience. Unfortunately, they do not have a liquor license so if you're looking for a margarita you'll have to go elsewhere.
A local told us that this place offers authentic Mexican food and we were not disappointed. We had fish tacos, Chile relleno and tamales. The place does not have an alcohol license so you bring your own beer and wine, but we were fine and soft drinks. Also had a green corn tamale which I highly recommend. It’s not fancy and quite small, so you want to go early especially on weekends. Highly recommended for an expensive delicious Mexican food
This place is great. Very family oriented. We met the owner and it has been in business for 37 years. Lots of families and very friendly. Family owned and ran. Good prices and really really good food! Looking forward to coming back every time I come through! Thank you!!!
This family owned restaurant not only has delicious food but also has amazing service! The queso tacos with bria, pictured, was delicious! Everything was warm, tasty and fresh! I will definitely go again to enjoy other tasty menu items! p.s try the horchata agua fresca it is also AMAZING!
So, Prescott, despite it's 'western' lineage leans towards towards the pretentious--therefore pricey and subpar--which is disappointing. But, you want to know what makes up for disappointment? Amazing, I mean, absolutely amazing Mexican food. And Maya's has nothng but that to serve. The soup will leave you speechless and enchiladas were the best I've had outside Southern California. Skip the retired pretentious masses that crowd Whisky Row and walk up the hill for some amazing food at equally amazing prices. And, BYOB, so you know the beer--or whatever you're drinking--will be good.
Best pork green chili I've ever had. Prices are low. Food is extremely delicious and portions are large. Ambience is nice. I highly recommend this fantastic restaurant.
Freshly made, good service and authentic decor.lots of local craftsmen stopping by for lunch, which is always a good sign
After a few attempts to visit, we finally made it. I think I hav found a new fav. Small place(6 tables inside), BYOB, great food, great service and good prices. Orders came out quickly and hot. We will be back.
