After a long morning of hot hiking on an empty stomach I entered Marino’s Mob Burgers and Ice Cream, a popular eatery among all the shops surrounding the square. Marino’s presents a 1920s milieu, all the way to the waitresses dressing like flappers. Assuming I required a major caloric infusion, I ordered a large fries to go with my “Billy Jack Melt,” a version of a patty melt. I certainly got my calories. The thick, greasy sandwich is served inside buttered Texas toast, and the large order of (hand cut) fries is humongous. Fortunately I had plenty of raspberry tea to wash it all down. I could barely finish the meal. My prior notion of ice cream for dessert (they have amazing varieties) I put aside, not being able to handle another bite. Oh yes, the food was excellent. I'll go there again.
Want a damn good burger? Go here! There are also many delectable choices. And Thrifty Ice Cream! We all know how good that ice cream is, right?! They'll even let you sample. The staff is great! They do their best to dress the part of the mob era out of their own pockets. It's quite a treat to go here for the entire family or on a date, or hanging out with your besties. It's beautiful inside, and you can dine outside as well and view the beautiful courthouse. And oh yes, they serve beer too.
We ate here with our granddaughter and her family when visiting the area. It should be noted we had 2 children with us ages 1 and 5. Upon sitting down we waited abet 10 minutes for a waitress to take our drink order. She finally came and never came back with the drinks or to take our order. I normally would have left but since we had family with us we stayed. My wife went up to another waitress and told her we were ready to order. She came to the table 5 minutes later. Brought our drinks in another 5 minutes and took our order. We waited again and finally after another 15 minutes the order came. The good part of this review was the food was very good. The bad part is we agin had to find a waitress to get the bill and clean the plates off. Finally after over and hour and a half we received the bill which was not correct as they charged everyone with a side but one of our party did not order. We were so disgusted at this point I paid the bill gave a very very small tip which I should not have done at all and left. The waitresses were young inexperienced and did not seem to care nor take pride in their work. I hope this review will be read by the owners! The worst service we have ever had, and still on a $77 bill. We will not return!!
We were so disappointed. The burgers were okay but the fries (both regular and sweet potato) were way undercooked. We understand staffing and supply shortages but the menu is very sparse like it’s been pared down to bare bones and even things that were listed were not available. The prices were really high for the quality of food provided. I hope they are able to bounce back in the future but we won’t be returning.
Tried again after 3 years hoping for a better experience. Food still gross and workers lacked training... 1st server kept on saying, "I don't know what I'm doing, it's my first day"and appeared extremely frustrated. Then we watched her walk out the front door and rummage through her car that was parked in front and take a hit of a vape. Then a second employee behind the counter said it was her 10th day and didn't know how to take off an item we didn't order. Both were extremely nice girls and did their best but just lacked training. The place has an awesome theme and ambiance but food quality and service overshadowed it.
Nightmare. My son had finished the Whiskey and needed to eat. We waited one solid hour for our food only to find out the cooks had passed over our order. When it finally arrived my sons “chicken strips” were actually the Dino nuggets you get at Walmart. Never again.
Visited here for my birthday dinner with friends. Waited 30-45 minutes for my food and the fries were cold and soggy and the sandwich I ordered was also cold. Friends also complained of cold food and soggy fries. My sandwich was made incorrectly as well. I understand that we were in a larger party, but if I am waiting that long and paying the prices I should get food that is at least warm. Very disappointed and will not be back.
Stopped into mob burger for lunch. I got a Chicago dog and fries along with Buffalo cauliflower. The food was so good! Can't wait to go back again.

The food is not as good as before and the price for two people for lunch was approximately $42.00, we got two sandwiches with onion rings and two drinks for this price.The service is very poor, one server to take everyone's order, pick up and deliver the orders as well as operate the ice cream counter. We will not be back!
