Went here on a whim and I couldn't have been more delighted. Staff is super friendly and patient, had a little one with us so she was taking her time in choosing the best flavor. She was absolutely ecstatic with the decision of bubblegum!Had the pepperoni pizza and once again couldn't have been more elated with the decision. Very good seasoning and you can taste the difference in quality.
Best part of this location is the Pizza and the cook who makes the pizza's. We supportted this location throughout the pandemic because the pizza is great. We have ordered pizza from this locaton almost weekly throuhgout the pandamic.. The down fall of this location is the owner/manager. I could give you multiple examples of the VERY POOR service. Tonight was the worst. Called to order take out. Rang 28 times before the owner/manager finally answered and when the owner/manager answered I was asked to hold on for a second. Finally owner/manager came back to the phone and took my order. When I picked up the pizza(s) I challenged the owner/manager on why the phone rang 28 times before it was answered, and ownner manager denined this happened and challenge me on my ability to count. Blammed in on the phone system. Done with this place. Have had multiple issue with ordering online and the lack of compasssion from the owner/manager.. Oh, and from week to week, the staff changes at this place. Guess what no staff tonight, just the owner/manager and the awesome cook.
Not impressed. The pizza and pasta is equivalent to Chef Boyardee. The very expensive gelato is good but don't get anything with "texture" such as nuts, as it gets soggy. Example: Cap'n Crunch has cereal pieces, the waffle cone crunch has pieces of waffle cone but they're all soggy.Small, never busy and the waitresses write nothing down which has resulted in errors twice. I ordered a veggie pizza and got a meat lovers. Not even close!
The Gelato Spot is arguably the best pizza spot in Arizona. It competes with Bianco and LGO for that spot in an elite group of amazing local pizza spots. The Phoenix area has the best pizza culture of any city I've been to (yes, above NYC, Rome, and Chicago) and The Gelato Spot never fails to impress. I've been a regular for nearly a decade and tell folk to visit every time they're in Phoenix. Try their unique white pizzas if you want something different!Whether you're in North Phoenix or Scottsdale, "the G Spot" should be on your list of regular restaurants.
We have been enjoying Gelato Spot for many wonderfully satiated years. Their food is great and the gelato is BETTER than Italy.
If you are looking for an amazing wood fired pizza or sandwich’s this is the place! Food here is of very high quality, fast & friendly staff. They patio is the place to enjoy your pizza. The family that owns this establishment are beyond friendly and make it a real pleasure to eat here. Can’t say enough good things!
Great pizza, even better Gelato! Service was good and open patio is perfect for az nights!
Six of us met for an early dinner at 5. None of us had eaten here, but one had looked it over and thought it might be fun. When we arrived at 5, only two other tables were occupied. When we left at 8, the place was nearly full. Lots of young families coming in for gelato. Appetizers split 6 ways didn't fill us up, but we all got enough of each to enjoy each app. The Roasted Cauliflower was the best, with the Roasted Meatballs a close second. Lots of variety on the Bruschetta board with a variety of flavorful meats. House and Caesar salads were cold and crisp, with excellent dressings. We shared Testarossa, Capricciosa and Margheritta pizzas, with the last being gluten free. All were very flavorful and amazing in such a small shop that clearly seems to be primarily a Gelato shop. We all agreed that we would be very happy to return for dinner there again. Of course, we couldn't leave without trying the Gelato. What an advantage to sit at our table and have our server secure six different serving for our table. The line to get Gelato had gotten rather long around 7:30. The bill was surprisingly reasonable considering all we consumed. Seems all was taken care of by a staff of five, two in the kitchen and three up front. There were some waits, but nothing unreasonable.
Best thin crust I've had. And I owned a pizza place back on the day. Please go here if you like simple high end ingredients to make a truly authentic Italian pizza.
Food was good, the employee rolled her eyes at me while she was one her cell phone after i asked for my drinks that she forgot to bring us after waiting about 10 minutes for them. I also left a water bottle there, told them exactly where it was and they said it wasnt there when i called, im guessing the same teenage girl who was slow and reluctant to get our drinks didnt even look for it.
