Great customer service, easy to find (yes, in an alley) look for red light, band play area, easy going bar scene, side game room, and secret room.
Such a cozy and fun spot to grab drinks and eats with friends and see a show. It’s not a big venue but that’s what I like about it - it’s intimate and has great acoustics. I was really impressed with the food menu, awesome options for bar snacks. Overall, fab spot to enjoy a night out!
Awesome hole in the wall bar! The bartender is very knowledgeable on his drinks and opened me to a whole new world of drinks. They have two pool tables and a shuffle board to keep you entertained. I couldn't stay long this time, but you better believe I'll be back!
This past Apr 22' my girlfriend and I were in Phoenix and looking for a enjoyable night on the town. I had found valley bar on a list of hidden speakeasies around the Phoenix area. Finding it wasn't much of a difficulty as we were guided there by one of the very helpful city ambassadors that you might find in their orange shirts roaming the city looking for obvious tourists to help. The vibe of this establishment is a mixture of dive bar with a bit of class. The drinks were strong and well concocted, there is a small room off to the side that is the "bit of class" I was talking about. We happened to be there on the day of a show and decided to go all in and enjoy everything valley bar had to offer that night. All in all we quite enjoyed ourselves, we also met friendly people and the live music was a particularly cool way to enjoy our first night in Phoenix.
I always describe this place to friends as “there are 3 separate vibes to be had here”:• There’s a room with the main bar for just lounging and talking away from the stage where the music isn’t as loud.• There’s another room for playing games like skeeball, pool, and board games.• The last room is for dancing right next to the stage. Sometimes there are musical acts. It also has a smaller bar in this room so you don’t have to go all the way to the first room to get another drink.
You will absolutely have to hunt to find this place, conveniently located down an alley where you (probably, definitely) won't get murdered. It's a small venue for a show, so you're going to be in tight quarters. As someone fresh out into the world post-covid, this is a slightly scary experience. However, it does make it so you can always have a good view of the band (as long as you're tall). The cocktails are pretty good, I enjoyed the paloma I had. And they have some skeeball in the back of the bar that is always a sign of a fun time.
The waiter was so nice! They had short black hair and were wearing shorts with fishnets. Just want to shout them out! The guacamole and chips was really good too! Drinks were strong and def hit the spot. Everyone was really nice and they cleared our table when it would get busy. Good music and relaxed vibes! Definitely coming here again!
Small venue clean efficient not a place unlessan event going on to eat or drink on stand alone basis Attended for an event. Merch are small but event are perfect! Well run security staff excellent!
Great happy hour! Awesome atmosphere!
Ghetto, also I went to a performance and could barely hear the artist on Mic... Apparently don't ask the girls behind the counter to turn up the volume or to request it because they say they are not the sound people. Also the table and the chairs were very wobbly not a comfortable seat. We had to pass a dumpster full of garbage to get to this place in the back of the alley.
