If the amazing food and immediate service doesn't get you, the entire atmosphere will. We walked in and not even 5ft in the building we were greeted, seated and on our way to an amazing experience. The Brisket, Burnt Ends and Wings are CLUTCH but... the Collard Greens stole the show and are made to perfection. Support your local spots like these people!

The sauce is boss here ? ? the ribs tasted like candy and the meat fell right off the bone, the mac and cheese was yummy ? and the jalapeño Coleslaw was fantastic. The atmosphere is bomb

Saw this place on here and research showed the owner and award winning que so we went for it. The food was spot on for que and the service was ok. Problem is when you pay by cash watch them as my friend had to ask for his change and then was still shorted.

First time visiting AZ and I was on a hunt to find some good bbq. The hunt ended early when I stopped in this black owned restaurant in the heart of Downtown phoenix. The food was delicious from the meat to the sauce and they had so many options to choose from. I ordered the loaded bbq chicken fries and also the soul rolls both were a hit! Great vibes in this restaurant, great customer service and good music !10/10 #blackownedbusiness

awesome place, good vibe, good people on the crew I was given the pleasure to encounter. it was Superbowl Sunday myself and a friend got 25 sliders of pulled chicken and pulled pork with the best bbq sauce I have had this side of the Mississippi ? and the sliders, which were slammed full of said good af BBQ....it was 25 dollars!!! such a killer deal for such good food! keep on keepin on Trapp Haus!!!

Went on lunch to pick up some food. Place was busy I ordered some food to go. Got home realized they forgot my large sides. Ingredients used here are very low quality. Wal-Mart rotisserie chicken was about the same quality as this.. Over $55. Very disappointing.

Went there expecting a great experience based on the reviews. However, I was just disappointed.Ordered the combo for lunch. (Two meats)Collard Green and slaw side.Collards were blan. Needs bacon etc.Slaw was too spicy hot.My biggest concern is that Great BBQ does not need to be covered in BBQ sauce. Second- I only received two ribs and very small portion of brisket! I paid $20 for it and the meat was not piping hot. Awful portion size for what I paid! The sauce also took away from the BBQ. I wished it had been on the side so I could taste the meat. Great service! Friendly folks there but I've had better BBQ. TEXAS ROADHOUSE IS WAY BETTERand it's a chain. I won't be going back. I was there to scope it out for a planned company gathering in Feb.Crossed it off my list. BUMMER!

03FEB2022/ approx, 16:30 (4:30) 1st off, I'm from Central TX, but have been here in PHX for 40 years- downtown for >25 years. I live approx. 10 minutes from Roosevelt Row & Trapp Haus & I was genuinely enthused with another BBQ specific being in the mid town area- being a long time customer of Honey Bears, but Trapp Haus was closer. I was also genuinely disappointed with the quality, amount and presentation of Trapp Haus' BBQ. Brisket= JUST average. Ribs= below average, Sides? I don't want to cuss so I'll describe the corn breed in two words= Hockey Pucks. The quality was far below what I expected but I did learn (overheard) the owner was from NY- maybe that explains the lack of quality and the price. Remember the Pace Picante Sauce TV commercial when they found the Sausa was from NY City. Save your $$$ and disappointment and drive a mile North on Central to Honey Bears (IMHO) - Davison 602-386-8947

We came across Trapp Haus BBQ on the visit Phoenix website before we travelled from the UK for the holidays. We decided to go for lunch on our second day in Phoenix, it was a great decision. It's more of a takeaway shop than a restaurant, but there's enough eat in seating for about 20 people. We managed to get some seats in the fantastically decorated seating area. We ordered Brisket, Ribs, Seasoned fries and the chicken caesar wrap. All the food was absolutely epic, seriously epic. The Brisket was like butter with so much flavour. The rest of the food was equally well cooked and delicious. We cannot wait to come back to Trapp Haus BBQ again and would highly recommend it to anyone!

This is a great place to go in groups. the restaurant is very aesthetically pleasing; there’s such fun paintings, the lighting, the outdoor seating area.. it’s great. Not too many waiters that I saw, perhaps because it was slow. Their customer service was nice; very understanding and attentive. The pricing is amazing! Very very affordable; I paid less than 30 for two; including extra side and drink. The food was good. I wasn’t a fan of the potato salad or the excessive fat on the pork belly, but the wings were great; crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. not too spicy though; the Nashville hot was nowhere near as hot as I expected it to be, but it’s not necessarily a bad thing; they were still flavorful. As for the pork belly I had ordered, I’ve ordered it at other places before and really not a picky eater, but I could not stomach the extra fat; at times, it grossed me out to the point that I couldn’t finish it. Aside from the fat, the rest of the pork belly was delicious. The meat was flaky on the outside but juicy on the inside and the sauce was perfect. The mac & cheese is great not sure if it was oven baked or not, but definitely creamy.
