Tried the Southern Curry with a side of Vegetable cutlets and the meal was so mediocre that it tasted as if it was served out of a can. Won't be eating this food again. In that price range, there are many options that are far superior. Read the reviews carefully. When a person is unhappy with the cheap food, the owner "sells" in the written word as if it is a job. "We are bummed", "We use fresh", "Authentic". These are nice pretty words, but reality is what it is no matter what sales spin you use as a response. Quit defending and improve!Reply to the "owners" response. I wound not eat at Tikka ever again if paid to do so. So an offer of a free meal is far away from a remedy. Read the review. Quit, responding, fixing and defending. Simply make real significant improvement even if it takes a few profit points to do so. Two, three, five years in the future you will be glad that you focused more on quality and less on selling franchises and expanding profit margins. Wanna stick around and make your mark? improve. Wanna make a quick hundred mil at the expense of others? Continue doing what you are doing now. Many have done so before. But the choice is yours. All yours.
Good food for a reasonable price.
Tried Samosas and Paneer Biryani with them. Both items were super delicious. While we opted "Hot" spice level over "Extra Hot" it was still spicy than we expected. Next time I will stick to no additional spicy preferences ?. Quantity of biryani was more than enough for 1 and it came in well packed containers and Raita/gravy/chutney on the side. Overall except the unexpected spicy kick it was a 5star dish that we had. Would recommend it to my friends and family. Do watch out for spicy levels before you order ?
Really good food with a tap wall!
Not authentic Indian food, typical chain restaurant kinda like what Olive Garden is to italian. The butter chicken sauce was awful and way too sweet. The tikka sauce tasted like canned tomato sauce and the tastless garlic naan was like a microwave pizza dough. Normally mint Chutney and Tamarind sauce come separately. At Tikka Shack they mix it together and then charge you extra for it. Go to India Palace off of Bell they are the real deal(see pic below)
This place is delicious. I got the butter chicken and my partner got the southern chicken. The butter chicken was absolutely amazing!! We also got the garlic naan which is probably the best naan I have ever eaten. Love this place! They also have alcoholic beverages to enjoy inside or on their patio :)
Wonderful service great food loved the southern curry it was amazing also love the place it’s very clean and nice in the inside very bright.
This place is a scam.Ordered paneer pepper and got some paneer chunks with raw cabbage and bell peppers in green (likely Ching’s Chinese) sauce. Probably a kid can cook better than this. Not worth the price. Since this was the only dish I ordered for my dinner (to go) I sprinkled some black pepper to make it edible. This is the worst dish I have ever eaten.
Good with a few gotchas. The quality of the food is good. However, the quantity is misleading, since some of the entries are 50% filled with rice. This is not clearly listed in the menu and it may spoil your meal plan if you are looking to share and enjoy the entries with naans. The online order did not work for us as there was some issue in the payment processing system. I tried a few times but no success. Then I called and placed the order.
This is the best inexpensive Indian restaurants in Phoenix. I haven't had this quality of roti and main dishes since I lived in the east. There's are two locations as well. I begged the owner to put one in Cottonwood or Sedona. Waiting!!!
