Started coming here a lot more in the past few months. They have a new manager working. Being involved, busting moves. Very interested in the music and calendar events. Helps out behind the bar when it gets busy. You can tell they all flow and work as a team. Delicious drinks. Music on Fridays and Sundays always gets the room grooving. Very active, busy scene while still being organized and comfortable. Patio is really nice.
Wife and I stopped by last night! We have never been but always wanted to check this place.Door guys were super chill. I always feel like they’re the tone setters when walking into a bar. They were chill and so was the vibe inside.Great mix of people! Reminded me of back home in Chicago.Bartenders were cool. Drinks are reasonably priced too. If I had to nitpick, no cherry in the old fashioned ?.Looking forward to going back. Thanks for a good night!
When we first came in we were greeted with a welcome and we can sit wherever ever we may like. Once we sat down and looked at the menu we realize this place was more towards the liquor side not that many food options which I understand. so we ended up getting the knock off charcuterie board and artichoke dip. Which was pretty good. The reason I’m giving a three star is because our drinks were way too strong. For me personally I like to be able to drink my drinks and not have to worry about how much alcohol is in it. We were still there for happy hour so we got daiquiri and margaritas and they were just too strong like you could taste the liquor compared to any of the sweet side. so finally we ordered the last drink it was like something blue and we had to let our tender know that we wanted it sweet and she finally made our drinks sweet but it, was too late cause we had already paid the bill because we were done for the night, Our bartender was not very attentive like every time we needed her attention we had to call her instead of her asking if we needed anything her attitude seem like she didn’t really wanna be there. It made no sense how she kept going to the other side of the bar even though there was three bartenders on one side and none on her side. Bartenders should be more happy and welcoming to get more tips!
This bar has undergone a wonderful transformation during the last 2 years of covid. They have expanded the patio and improved the finishes. Great flow from the outdoors to the indoors with live music daily and a surprisingly good happy hour. The musician was really very good although there was hardly anyone there around 5:00. We very much enjoyed it and will be going back. Update: I went back for happy hour on Friday and there was a good crowd and live music. I tried the beet and goat cheese toast and it was very good. Service was also on point
The Womack has always been a favorite but the new patio takes it to a entire new level. Can you say ambiance? The staff is wonderful! The cocktails are spectacular and the truffle popcorn delicious. Perfect place for music and friends.
I love Roscoe live old school music performance definitely a place I would bring my parents and in laws. The atmosphere is a low light setting but the server Hannah I was not happy with. For a place that caters to jazz, blues music and black performances I felt like she over looked us. She barely spoke to us but the way I saw her interacting with other customers who were Caucasian she seemed more enthusiastic and friendly. It was busy so idk if they need more servers or what but I felt like we we were not seen. This place needs more people of color servers especially since it seems to be popular among people of color. But I ordered drinks and left. Also the space is very tight they have outside seating but you can’t hear the music outside. I wish it was more open and people not on top of each other. They also have light refreshments no major food.
Great location and great ambience. Plenty of outdoor seating although the indoor seating is really more for large groups, and is limited. The drinks were very good and we had a great time enjoying the vibe. However, it takes FOREVER to get a drink. Is this typical for a bar on a Saturday night? Sure. Is it typical to wait over 35 minutes every.single.time? No, that's ridiculous. GET SOME EXTRA BARTENDERS. The lines were 4-5 people deep and they never improved.Lastly, we went to The Womack because it was recommended for live music. The "live music" is a huge over statement. It was one man singing with backing tracks. He wasn't bad but he wasn't particularly good either. There was supposed to be another band this night according to the site but we never saw anyone else. Very disappointing.
The place is nice, also the patio, however bartenders are not trained enough to provide good quality drinks nor customer service. Cocktails are not good at all, they dont even know how to make basic drinks, like Sazerec ( even it is on their menu), so I decided to get straight whisky (so it cant go wrong) they charged me a ridiculous amount just because I ordered it neat. So my third drink was whisky on the rocks ( to avoid the extra charge for the neat drink) and the joke was, they charged me extra for the ice!!!!! . Bartenders are not rude but they all have this poker face, seems not happy with what they do. I am expecting this place is going to shut down again because of the poor management.. If you want to go, dont get cocktails, get a beer, hopefully they dont charge you extra for being COLD!!PS: Sazerec is a stirred drink not on the rocks!!
What a phenomenal experience. 10/10 recommend on any day! Live music on select nights (Thursday through Saturday I believe) along with other eclectic attractions like tarot reading, dollar tacos and DJ on Tuesday (I believe, call to be sure!).
We went on a Wednesday evening. There was a great band, Palo Brae(?) ... they were amazing! The Womack is a good place to unwind, mellow out before heading home. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Open late.
