The place was hopping for a Wednesday night. I had the Roasted Pork street tacos and she had the Southwest chopped salad. We shared fries and a pretzel. We took advantage of the house rose wine for $5 each. Very nice! Try this out if you are in town. They have a shaded patio that would have been great if the temp at 6pm wasn't 107.
My first visit to the Vig and it definitely won’t be my last! Parking lot is small but there seems to be plenty of available parking in the surrounding area, I didn’t have any issues at all. Visited for brunch, we had the calamari and cinnamon roll for apps - both really delicious and then I had the croque madame for entree, also very good. Service was excellent, maybe just a touch of a loud setting for brunch but overall, a very enjoyable experience.
Good vibes and a great ambiance. This place was cool. Good drinks & good food. The crispy chicken sandwich was soooo gooddd. Perfectly crisp chicken and it was super juicy! I don’t even like coleslaw but it was good on this sando! I got the Desert Dove & Blood Orange Margarita (pictured). I liked the Desert Dove much better & it came in a larger glass also! Can’t wait to return & try more good stuff!
Decided to try a new restaurant tonight and were pleasantly surprised! (Warning, small parking lot so either use the complimentary valet provided or park across the street.)We made reservations and had no wait. The sharable appetizers we tried were the maple glazed brussel sprouts with crispy bacon, truffle macaroni and cheese, and the chips and dip trio. All were delicious! The brussel sprouts were out favorite! They were shredded, almost like a salad, with a sweet maple glaze...the taste and textures were perfect! The chips were great with nacho cheese, guacamole, and salsa options for dips. The Mac&Cheese was baked with crispy bread crumbs on top and came out on a sizzling skillet. (Options to add chicken or bacon are available.)We didn't have room to enjoy a dessert this time around, but we will definitely be back. All in all, I would definitely recommend trying it out!
Lemon drop was very good and I also had the wagyu burger and fries, will be back!
The outdoor atmosphere is amazing and I loved the patio layout and comfortable, cozy seating. My request for Mai Tai was met with a delicious tasting cocktail that I absolutely would order again. My Eggs Benedict was decent. The English muffin part could stand to be a little better in some way (maybe a different muffin type) and the calamari - while the dipping sauce was good, the calamari themselves are a bit skinny and over cooked here maybe as a result of them *being* skinny. When you have thicker calamari it tends to just have a better mouth chew than say, onion straws which this resembled in texture/chew. Crunchy and thin. The chorizo burrito ? was very tasty and worth it if you like chorizo.Nothing here was bad, I just think it could have blown me away with some small changes. I will back for the atmosphere, drinks, and other options to try on the menu.
Inviting atmosphere, nicely split between indoor and outdoor seating. Excellent food choices and a great place to get together and enjoy time together with friends and family.
They were very accomadting to my large group (13). The food and drinks were tasty. I love the outdoor seating area, very flexible options. The only true complaint I had was no ice for water and slow service on tickets.
The food was delicious and fresh. We had the trio chips and dip to start. It was the perfect size for two people to share. My husband had the pork tacos and I had the southwestern salad. Amazing! The drinks were hand crafted and the bartender (Nick, I believe) was very attentive. Great experience overall!
Our group gives a 4 for the outside environment & fireplace (would be a 5 but the music is lame)Now the food & drink …. 1.5 star at bestWe received a wedge salad w/rotted bacon that was pure fat - honestly you could tell by color (gray) alone that the bacon would have made anyone sick if they ate it. Why would anyone think it’s ok to serve that is beyond meThen my friends burger that the waiter said is the best…. Was preformed patty (like the kind you buy at Costco or Fry’s) - looks & taste like some pastie odd texture in your mouth - honestly just horrible. Oh & we asked for it to be medium rare - which it was not because it can’t be done w/pre pres paste. Oh & the tomato slices for the burger were just the ends (the part you cut off and throw out) & not even ripe.I am not trying to be mean I am just perplexed & feel that I have to share the truth - who ever is the chef either revived their certificate from the internet a some 30 day course or never went to school in the first place. These are basic things that anyone, even in their own kitchen knows better.Their fries were edible thank the lord we could all put something in our stomach. Now let’s talk about the drinksI hope you like $2 wine or don’t care about alcohol in your drinks. We had mimosas for our table & they all no mater what flavor, tasted like metal and flatter than the floor- ewwWe all moved on to a bottle of cava since their “sparkling” was so bad. One in our group decided to get a basic cocktail & had to order side shots after tasting nothing but mix.Note to self and anyone reading that wants to know - “Next”
