This is very hard to write because the customer service was nice but the food was horrible. I should’ve known since the place didn’t look sanitary at all. The ribs were decent (probably because of the barbecue sauce) but everything else was not good at all. The food tasted as if it was cooked days before and was lukewarm. The macaroni was salty (who makes salty macaroni?) the red beans and rice was mushy and salty w/ horrible flavor, the greens needed more seasoning, the chicken was pink and had a nasty after taste, the cobbler was gross and old and so was the banana pudding. I’m new to Phoenix and saw it had great reviews on yelp and google so I wanted to try this place out but I will not enter this establishment anymore. Plus the area is kinda sketchy. Go at your own risk.

Sue’s has great food and the smell of great cooking from the heart. The peach cobbler is amazing!
If you're looking for some good soul food you need to come here the music the atmosphere and I had the opportunity to meet the owner and they are lovely they make you feel like you're a guest in their home so, so if you want some good soul food try them out
Consistent great tasting quality all across the menu. I come here for turkey legs and they never fail to satisfy.
Fried fish was perfect! Overall very pricey and not many options for kids. We spent almost $100 but still had to go get something different for the kids. The customer service was awesome!
We have had the ribs, Cajun and jerk chicken, catfish, and ox tails all the meat were delicious. Sides we have had yams, greens, red beans and rice, mac and cheese and the potato salad. All of which were also finger licking good. Greens needed to cook a bit longer but no denying the flavor was hittin'! The peach cobbler was too good. I always talk about this place. I even put in for Thanksgiving catering. You will not be disappointed!

We had ribs, flavored chicken, ox tails, catfish, mac and cheese, greens, yams, red beans and rice, cobbler and cornbread. Everything was delicious and we will return!
