I am excited to share with you this wonderful place STAR OF INDIA. It has amazing service and even better foods. I love all the dishes, and I can even pronounce the meals when I order for myself, family and friends, since I visit always. Sometimes I enjoy these great tasting, steaming entrees with the same or even a new guest. My surpurb taste present to you the authentic STAR OF INDIA!
Fantastic! We are new to the area and decided to try this restaurant. The restaurant was clean, inviting, really nicely set up. The food was very good and the owner went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. So happy we found our go to restaurant!
It’s was a wonderful meal! The owner came and talked to us and even gave us a little desert to try. The food tasted great and the atmosphere was fantastic, come here if you have the choice!
Some of the best food I had in a while, the chicken briyaani and butter chicken is finger licking good. Will definitely be coming back here from now on. Also thanks to the host for making us feel at home.

Employees lack professionalism and serve customers based on the owners friendship with customers. We waited for food for an hour and forty minutes while we watched tables that were seated after us receive their entire meals, offered extra side dishes, and dessert while we waited for a drink refill. These tables clearly knew the owner as they all chatted and mingles while he showed them pictures on his phone. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone I know.

Got there 2 hours before they closed and ended up leaving 20 minutes before they closed without even getting food. If there’s a wait cool, just let people know. We sat for over an hour without as much as heads up that the food takes so long. Was told it was coming and 20 mins later just gave up. They were about to close and just wasn’t worth it. One review says it seems like if you know the owner you get exceptional service, and we agree. If you don’t know them just go eat somewhere else.
Amazing food and service even when a lot of restaurants have staffing issues. Even after 20 years I’m still amazed at the quality and flavor of their food. It’s a gem in Ahwatukee tucked in a corner.
I love Star of India! Shrimp biryani is one of my favorite dishes of all time, and theirs is top notch! I have been ordering here quite often for many years, and the quality of their food is consistently delicious. Always kind and welcoming.
