This is our favorite sushi place. The food is always good and our new favorite server/bartender joy has made every visit so perfect. We request her every time. The rainbow roll and German chocolate cake shot is our favorite :)
Never going here again. Mediocre food flavors, few choices of sauces, food was not cut all the way through so made eating with chop sticks difficult and that was all that they offered to eat with. Service was horrid and the place was not busy so can't use that excuse. Our server was ask for refills for drinks, acknowledged us then never brought them. Tried to grab his attention several times to get the check but he avoid looking in our direction. Had to ask another server for togo box and the bill, he went to our server told him and we got the bill 10 mins later with the box. Then he just walked away. I can get better food and service as samurai sam's.
Ok came here for dinner and was really not impressed. The Beef Donburi was drenched in teriyaki all the way through, the Chicken Teriyaki was ok and the Samurai Steak needed to actually be cut through all the way. The server seemed distracted or just inattentive. Our drinks got low and he never came to refill despite us asking for refills and him acknowledging he would get refills.
Not impressed, waited a bit longer than normal. Not a problem its hard to find servers. The food was meh, the prices were on the higher end for sushi. Might give it a second chance, may be it was an off day.
I have not been to this restaurant in a while. When I lived closer, I would regularly dine in here. After revisiting tonight, I was very disappointed. Everything was mediocre; tuna tataki was chewy & hard to swallow, rolls fell apart, wasabi was old & tough, & the kids chicken teriyaki was a giant bowl of rice with maybe 10 fingernail sized pieces of chicken. The green muscles however were amazing. Renovations that have been done actually made the environment less inviting. The servers a bit unprofessional & inattentive. Overall, super disappointing.
Passed this place many times and finally decided to give it a try. Amazing! Ahi tuna salad was just amazing! Big portion with dressing. I’m surely will try more of the menu.
The sushi chef Sergio is the reason I come here! Never disappointed and recommend trying this spot. Great service and prices with delicious food.
Long established Japanese style eaterie with sushi counter - Panko chicken has been the same quality for over 30 yrs as have the other items. Non pretentious restaurant. Good portions at a fair price. Remodeled with social distancing in mind.
Cucumber salad is soooo yummy! I'll have to try other things on the menu lol! Can't wait to try it out
We have gone here for years, and it has been the definition of wonderful eats, and good company. But now, we had the pleasure of being served by Kiam, and our experience was even more delightful. Always impressed, but blown away today! Thank you Shøgun!!
