Great Sushi was had! A very popular neighborhood place which many regulars come to frequently. Interior a bit dark and a bit cramped, could benefit from better lighting and a new paint job. Overall a great place for great Sushi. I would go back!
Ok I get it AZ is hard to do good sushi and in a dire search for food before a movie I saw this had decent reviews so since I was already craving sushi we decided to risk it!!Well totally worth the risk the night was a little slow but in the end totally with every last bite!!This has officially been added to our finally a good sushi place to go.Great job everyone tonight it was delicious!!
Freshest sushi I have been to in a while. Expensive but portions reflect price. The crab mix is so creamy. You can taste everything in mixture.
Food was good, service not so much. From my perspective, it appeared they forgot our order. The waitress actually sent a second waitress to ask about the food, which made me think maybe our chef and waitress had a problem with eachother. So we waited over 45 minutes (from when we ordered, side note we had to wait a bit to get our order in) for 3 rolls (once he started it took him less then 5 minutes to make them). I watched that for 15 minutes of it, the 3 chef's only produced one roll. Then the waitress knowing we were upset, I guess decided avoiding us was the answer. So we ate 3 rolls with no water or service after. The owner was kind and apologetic and she gave as a small discount. I wish I was not so upset, but there seemed to be games and my wife and I were caught in it. Or they just forgot our order. Either way not a good experience. The sushi was fine though, but not worth all that!Hopefully someday I'll try it again and be able to update this post with many great comments. The only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because the food was okay, and the owner was apologetic. Granted that was at the end of the whole 2 hrs of a night there.
I have been coming here for over a year now, and the fish always so fresh! Noah is an amazing sushi chef and needs a raise immediately lol I'll be coming here for a long time!!
We have been coming to Sakana for 10 years and usually loved it. Since covid the customer service has been declining severely. Went today after signing up on the wait list, after waiting over 45 minutes, asked on status and was rudely told it would be however long it was. Probably last time we go....
Busy place on a Friday evening. They quoted a 45 minute wait but we were seated in under 15 minutes.We had sushi, salad and soup plus a couple bears and sake. Everything tasted great and the sushi was fresh and beautifully presented.Worth a visit!

Best sushi in Arizona to date! Great staff, creative menu and very fresh food. Prices are increasing, like everywhere else and the food and flavor was worth it. You will be so happy you chose to go here!!
