The staff here and the customers are so nice and non judgemental. All are welcome and Sundays are a day to enjoy day drinking
Do not judge a book by its cover. What a hidden little gem! Inside is much bigger then what it seems from the outside and what a cute cute place. Patio is fantastic- hell the entire place is. I'd come here all the time if I lived here. Just love it
This is a friendly, small town bar. On the random night I found myself there with a date, we enjoyed ourselves, despite the fact the bar was virtually empty. There are a couple of dart boards and pool tables, and a large smoking patio.
If you use a credit card, they charge $20, then take $1.00 as a service fee and give you $19 less cost of drinks. Hey, gay bars are an endangered species... whatever it takes to stay open. Would be nice to explain upfront... would have used cash...
Been here a few times before. The bartenders were rude and even denied us the 2-4-1 because we didn’t know. Most bartenders will let you know. Tim just started working here and he is the BEST! He makes everyone feel welcome. He cares about this customers. The best thing about TIM? He loves to keep the place clean! I will definitely be bringing everyone here :)
Five stars since Timmy is here thurs-sun! He was our favorite bartender before and were glad hes back! Most down to earth and best service!
This place has an excellent Shirley Temple that has a twist of citrus that went nicely with the drink. I enjoyed interacting with the staff and will bring friends and family here in the future.
$20 increments! ?But guy kept bugging me & my husband and kept using derogatory words! Told us we were worthless! Got up and left. Will NEVER return!
Had a fun time there last fall, can’t wait to visit again.
I arrived in Phoenix in the 1980s. It is one of the first bars I'd ever been to. But even today, 40 years later, NuTowne remains a friendly, happy, neighborhood bar. Its that type of bar you don't mind going by yourself because you can just sit at the bar, get some food, a beer, and people watch to your hearts content. There is nothing stuck-up about this bar or the guys who come in. Everyone seems all-American and average-Joe types. I love that.
