The handheld dessert sensation, donut bun stuffed with handcrafted artisan ice cream is available in 12 flavors with rotating selection and vegan options. They use brand name cereal as the toppings! I got it with coffee ice cream and Cap' N' Crunch and found it excellent in taste and portion size. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is walking distance for locals but even contains a small parking lot. This would be great to return with friends in the cool months with the patio. I came out at 12:30pm in the middle of a heat wave because I'm a psycho but it is quick to eat and get back inside.
Awesome little place, what they have done with the space is amazing. A series of tiny home structures where each individual one is a different business. All put together with a welcoming court yard. Across from Novel Ice cream is a tap house that has a great selection of drinks. The whole atmosphere is amazing. An amazing experience and concept all around.
Great ice cream selections with unique flavors. Must try when you visit Phoenix. The only downside is the long line, but definitely worth it. I tried their butter pecan, so smooth and creamy. I also tried their honey lavender, not a fan of it since the lavender is a little strong. But it might work for those who love lavender. I might try another flavor next time. But butter pecan is highly recommended!
I think I wrote a really great review somewhere else but...This is my new go to ice cream place! The guy at the window was really nice, knowledge and very kind. The flavors are all WOW worthy! If you need help .. as in hiring, let me know! I'd love to come work there culture community fun great product! ??
Listen I live in Italy and have been the past 4 years. So please trust me when I say this ice cream is amazing I am grateful enough to eat Italian gelato whenever I please but I still think of Novel. I have been here three times and it never disappoints. I go out of my way every single time I am in Phoenix to come here. 10/10 recommend the Cookie Monster and honey lavender is to die for.
I went on a Friday night around 9. It was super busy. The line was long. The vibes were great. Music in the courtyard area. There’s a brewery next door and a burger vendor. So plenty to do in that little area.Back to the ice cream. The people working the front had a great attitude and were patient despite the long line.I got a donut ice cream sandwich and it was was amazing. The ratio of ice cream to donut was on point and tasted great together.I also got a flight of ice cream, which I think was very worth the price to explore their flavors. All of it was amazing.One recommendation is to have a description of their permanent ice cream flavors in display that way people don’t have to ask what flavor is such such ice cream.

I got Hawaiian Delight with sprinkles in a donut. Really good!! I will say that the donut does almost cover the flavor of the ice cream in this case. Next time I'll try just the ice cream.They make their own ice cream in small batches, so they can run out of popular flavors.Enjoy!!
