Decent overall experience. Ramen was pretty good, but not the best I've ever had.Atmosphere: 9/10. It's a very small storefront, but well-decorated and clean. There were tables outside, but it was a bit hot for that so we had a window-side half-booth that was just fine. It wasn't too noisy, and had some entertaining food network shows on in the background.Food: 8/10. I had the tonkotsu ramen (I believe it shows the most technical ability, so it's what I always get when I visit a ramen place for the first time), friend with me had the Nishikawa black. We both enjoyed our bowls, but I did feel the broth lacked the richness and intensity that is the trademark of a good tonkotsu. However, the other elements were just right-- the soft-boiled egg was tender with a runny yolk, and the chasu was falling apart. The broth wasn't overly oily, and I thought the noodles were fine (although not the best I've had-- they weren't the perfectly chewy, bouncy ramen noodle I was expecting). However, for $15 per bowl, I think it was a decent value and I did finish my bowl entirely.Facilities: 8/10. Just one single stall, which makes sense for the size of the restaurant. It was clean, but the lights were flickering in a slightly alarming way, and there isn't a changing station.
Definitely a high level of Ramen, good atmosphere, quick service, clean. Ordered the Nishikawa black ramen and the pork gyoza all really good. I would highly recommend and will come back!
Place is clean, a little small, but not too crowded when I went. I ordered Takoyaki for appetizer and Nishikawa Black ramen with soft boiled egg for entree. Takoyaki tastes like a regular takoyaki, I don’t see anything special to it, but it tastes decent. I like the portions, too. The ramen itself is well cooked. I wish they have an option for a different type of noodle or for toppings. Their staff is friendly, place is clean, decent food. Can’t go wrong with coming here for a bowl of ramen.
I was told to try this place out by a friend who's an executive chef, so I believe his recommendations, and this one was spot on. I had the nishikawa black ramen, and it was extremely flavorful and filling. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for some of the best ramen in the area.
This place is simple but good. The different ramen have distinct flavors. The spicy ones are known to be extra good. I'm not too impressed overall but it was still pretty good. Invite friends for a casual sit-down lunch in this small shop
Fresh, hot, and fast. The spring rolls and pork gyoza are divine. The ramen is top shelf and definitely worth coming back. Deep layered flavor, fresh, and served piping hot.
This has place has no business being this good. Blew me away! Simple menu, just come for ramen and you’ll be satisfied. The black ramen, extra spicy, with soft boiled egg is the way to go.
Worst customer service ever. Came in today around 2pm and it was super dead not busy at all. Ordered three bowls of ramen, beef bowl and two shrimp appetizers. We asked multiple times if the ramen bowls came with mushroom and were told there was none. My dad asked and so did my husband and they were told no mushrooms. When we got home all three bowls had mushrooms not a little either, there were a lot of them. Some of us eating the food cant eat mushrooms and so I called them about the issue. The lady who answered the phone hung up on me with attitude. I called back and she told me to take the mushrooms out.. not something to say to someone who has an intolerance to mushrooms. She said "take out the mushrooms eat soup and noodles you can do that right?" I asked her for her name and she refused to give it to me. She then handed the phone off to another girl with attitude who lied and said they told us there were mushrooms, I was on the phone when they told both my husband and dad there were no mushrooms and my family wouldn't order anything with mushrooms knowingly. I asked if I could speak with a manager and get her name or the other ladies name and she said "uhhhh no i dont know names" and hung up. Never thought that kind of customer service would happen around here.
My first time coming here and I LOVED their food! I tried, Tonkotsu, & miso ramen with takoyaki, spring rolls, and chicken karaage! They were good! I am Japanese and from Tokyo. I would come back here again! Highly recommend this place.
Good casual dining spot. Quick and efficient customer service, don't expect it to be warm or personable. Water was never served. Ramen came out first, then the Takoyaki appetizer.Checkout is quick and tables get cleaned very fast. Masks are optional here.
