Get there early. I was craving the best salmon you can buy anywhere in the valley and they were out at 3pm on Saturday. You think salmon is salmon? Nope, not even close. I won't wait till 3 again.
It's a great place to buy fancy varieties of fish and products of the sea. It's pricy place but you get high quality in their products. Mr Ethan is a nice guy. Ezra is a young man that is very kind with the clients. I love theirs fresh oysters and sandwiches. I highly recommended it ? ☺️
Went for Wednesday Lobster Rolls and glad I got there early! Short line formed even before opening. Well worth the wait!
Great Crab and Lobster Rolls! Everything was fresh and extremely tasty. Outside seating was perfect for us.
As a new snowbird from WA, this is the best seafood market I’ve come across in quite a while. At least as good as the best Pike Place has to offer. The swordfish was just amazing and worth the extra penny. The ceviche is another fantastic dish. I’ll be back next week to see what else we can try. This is so much better than going out to eat.
Love Nelson’s! It’s such a great little shop with the best quality in the valley. There’s always something interesting to try and the team is so helpful/insightful on their offerings.Highly recommend signing up for their email list to know what is planned for that week!
Awesome service. Received great advice, last minute, on New Year's Eve to cook some American Red Snapper and it was delicious.
I have had tuna from all parts of the country, including the coast of Hawaii, and I have to say their tuna is the best I have ever had. I love my poke and sashimi, and once I find one that is above the rest, I need to let other know. Seriously, if you love sushi/sashimi, you will not find a better place than here. Absolutely fantastic!
I was born and brought up in Gloucester, MA., our nations oldest seaport. I started working in the fishing industry when I was 15. My family has been in the fishing business for over two hundred years and I know fish...In AZ it just doesn't get any better than Nelson's.
It says "meat and fish" in their name. It would best be named "Nelson's Fish Market" as I saw very little "meat" and their very short menu was all fish. A shrimp salad sandwich cost $17 with no sides and no drinks. The sandwich was a thick bun with a pile of cabbage and one medium size scoop of shrimp salad. EXTREMELY PRICEY FAIR QUALITY AND QUANTITY.
