Not the friendliest people working the front line but the cook is amazing and she's worth ignoring the lack of customer service provided to get your meal. Her chicken is just like eating my mommies chicken when I was younger. Kudos to her she's very friendly and a great cook.
The best food and dining experience ever. I took my teenage son. He had golden fried chicken and double mac n cheese. I had smothered pork chops, green beans n taters, and mac n cheese. Corn bread and the best fresh coffee. Super good service and friendly like family. Loved it. Thanks
I talked several of my co workers into trying Mrs White's today for lunch - they had heard me rave about it for awhile. Every single one of them loved it! The catfish, fried chicken, pork chops, smothered pork chops, ox tails - all exceeding expectations. Sides were all fantastic as usual too! There is a reason this place gets such high praise and notoriety. Much love for them today too especially, as they soldiered forward with only 2 workers and a packed house for lunch. All I can say to those patrons waiting is.....your patience will be well worth it!
I had the catfish plate with mac n cheese, greens, sweet potatoes and cornbread. The catfish was well seasoned and cooked perfectly..the sides however was a different story...mac n cheese was soggy because noodles were overcooked and resembled baby food, sweet potatoes were not sweet they were just kinda there...greens were pretty good..cornbread had no flavor, was grainy and were not sweet. Servers were friendly and attentive! I may give it another try perhaps not on a Sunday..
Excellent as always! Didn't have everything but what they did, was more than enough. Speaking for my party of 4, we were very satisfied and will be back soon.....

I tried to go to the restaurant today, a Saturday. According to their hours, they should be open. When I got to the restaurant, nobody was in the parking lot, and a big closed sign was on the door, stating hours that are apparently incorrect. There was a gentleman inside and the door was slightly open, so I popped my head in and asked if they were open. He responded by saying that they were open Wednesday through Sunday. But they weren't open today. Even though Saturday is between Wednesday and Sunday. He said something about staffing levels, and to maybe try again next week. I'm sorry, but while I understand that everyone is having a hard time hiring people, if you are going to close because of that, then don't advertise your hours. Or put a sign in the window that says you're temporarily closed due to staffing issues. Probably won't be back.
I respect black owned business especially women black owned! I really gave this place a try based on my daddy's liking.... but when I say it was horrible it was horrible!!!!... I'm a foodie and I know good SOUL food but this was not it ... the macaroni and cheese was kraft mac & Cheese like really ? then black-eyed beans had no seasoning at all smh the only thing that was amazing was the pipn hot chicken covered in gravey now that was amazing and THATS IT! OVERALL I'm not bashing ms. White but her staff needs to stop with the foolishness on the food and give really soul food.
I have been to this restaurant many times while on a business trip. The food and service has always been phenomenal. Unfortunately, I went today and they were closed but the signage from (2021) and google information has not been updated. I'm not sure if they're currently in business.
Been there many times (at least 30) Have not been there in the last 4 years. Went there last week, took a coworker and friend. Found the place filthy, Service was rude and unfriendly. I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken; they did not have their Mac & Cheese. The Chicken tasted old like he reheated it, Dry as a bone and tough. Will never go back. What a shame was great for many years. Please remove the name Mrs., White from the place I know she would not approve of the place now
