I recently moved and have been searching for a new Greek place specifically one that serves chicken souvlaki. This was a difficult task but I saw that Mika’s had it and was near by one of my jobs so I decided to check it out. The pita bread and hummus were great. They’re very generous with how much pita bread comes with your food. I could eat just those two things and be happy! I also enjoyed the salad (specifically the taste and texture of their croutons). While the chicken smelled super good it was extremely dry and seemed like it was probably reheated from being made earlier in the day. What little flavor I could taste did seem like what I expected for souvlaki.Sadly the cashier wasn’t very friendly and seemed unhappy to be there which made this visit a bit uncomfortable. Even though my first impression wasn’t the best, I would give this place another chance in the future if I’m close by.
i ordered a lamb & beef gyro with hummus and a honey walnut baklava. all of it was delicious and something i will definitely be eating again. that baklava was super tasty ?
I love Mikas's they always fill me up. The food is made to order fresh flavorful and authentic. They put the right crisps to my gyros. The inside is clean and cool.
I was really hungry and just chose this place because everywhere else was packed. I’ve had Mediterranean Greek food before, but this place really does live up to its standards and more so. From walking in to sitting down, I felt welcomed and it only took them 5 minutes… not even.. to make my meal. I enjoyed it throughly. It sucks that I don’t live here, or else I’d give this place my business 1-3 times a week. Definitely worth a try if you love Greek food or want something new. The prices are pretty low and the quality and taste is so so good. You have to try it to believe it.
Oohhh, I usually order a Greek Night Club pita with chicken, but upon feeling indecisive and learning that Mika's has online ordering...one of the meat choices listed was 1/2 chicken 1/2 gyro. Um, yes please! They had all sorts of options that you can customize with a simple click of a button (white or wheat pita? no onions? extra sauce? cut in half? etc. Boom! Done.) It even gave me a pick-up time and I received text notifications when my order was in-process and ready for pick-up. Having already paid online, I just walked in, was handed my bag, and went on my way. The whole process was very simple, convenient, and fast! Plus, I didn't have to mispronounce gyro over the phone. Hahaha. Score! My pita was excellent ~ stuffed full of gyro, chicken, lettuce, tomato, onions, kalamata olives, tzatziki, and feta! Mmm! It was a little on the salty side, which I actually like, but just something to consider if you're sensitive to that sort of thing. The side greek salad was also very good. One of these days I'll get around to trying the lentil soup...All in all, you can get a great, fast, filling meal here for less than $10, that you feel good about eating. WIN.
Great food, great service. Got the Original beef & lamb with fries and a Coke in a glass bottle. Will come back again when I'm in town.
Fantastic place to grab lunch. Food is ready very quickly, but is fresh and absolutely delicious.
Mika's Greek is a great little mid-town location where you choose wraps or plates with your choice of protein. They serve them 5 ways: Original, Picado, Mediterranean, Diablo, and Ceaser. You also get a choice of 1 side: rice, fries, soup, salad, and hummus. They are all $9.99, and with the plates, you can get a large size for $13.99. I had a gyro wrap original with fries; it was piled with meat. My only complaint was that the pita was a little thin and fell apart after a while. Overall, it was very good give them a try and please support our local businesses.
I went there on a whim, and it turned out to be a great decision. I really enjoyed the food. The Gyro I got was huge and very tasty. It also came with a side of fries or your choice of a few other things. I chose the fries. Once again great choice. The fries were big and crispy and delicious. You got to put salt on them to taste, as they didn't come with a lot of salt. The price for the whole thing was less than $10. I thought it was a good value. The whole meal was actually a little more than I should have eaten. But it was worth it so I kept going until it was done. The restaurant was not very busy. But, there was a fairly steady flow of customers even though I didn't get there till about 1:30. The people were very nice. The place was clean. They seem to use good health and sanitation practices. I really can't find much to complain about in my experience there.
We had a wonderful dinner we enjoyed at this restaurant the other night. Well there a man from the street who walked in asking for money for a drink. We offered to buy him a drink and some food but he only wanted money. Then the cook, walked out and said I’ll take care of this. And he took the man outside and gave him a coat from his car because it was cold out and he gave him some money. I was very impressed with the compassion that this restaurant showed to that man. Treated him with respect helped him and then sent him on his way.
