Staff was very friendly, Food was good but the best part is that my daughter loved it. This a reward for having all A's on her final report card
Remember that tv show from the 70's called "Alice"? The diner from that show was about a half mile from where my family and I stayed in Phoenix. We enjoyed a nice breakfast and excellent service from the friendly staff at Mel's Diner. The walls are lined with coffee mugs signed by guests and the menus feature photos of the cast. Fun visit and good old fashioned diner food. The biscuits and gravy are just okay. Hash browns could be crispier. Chicken fried steak and corned beef hash were excellent as well as the coffee. The service is great. Would visit again!
The service was top notch the food was even better better the variety is amazing. This double cheeseburger which is truly 2 hamburgers who hamburgers handmaid with onion rings was only $12
Been wanting visit & eat here for a long time. I am so happy that I finally did. I Loved it! Loved the history! Loved the food. And the service was great! Would recommend to anyone if asked. I'll be visiting again in the near future to try other menu items.
Awesome Diner. Best in Phoenix. Friendly people great food. Worth the stop. You get that old school vibe when you go in.
This was my first time eating here. I had the AZ omelette with home fries and toast. It was very good. The staff were all super nice. I will definitely be back. By the way don't let the outside fool you the food was delicious.
The decor is so cool and it gives me memories of times ago but the service and food left me empty. They never checked back or offered refills and they burned my eggs but under cooked my hash. So many things to go on about but I won’t go on n on. I do know that I won’t be going back ever.
Mel’s Diner doesn’t look like much on the outside, but don’t let that influence you. Once you go inside it’s not fancy but the waitresses are very sweet! The food is good & the service is great as well. Good old fashioned diner food!!
It was Awesome. I couldn't believe my eyes when I arrived. Just like on TV and the walls were covered with signed memorabilia. The menus were covered with plastic like old School. The service was unbelievable. Please stop in and get a taste of nostalgia ?
Kiss My Grits!
