Super disappointed… fish smelled like ammonia and fries were soggy. Smelled my whole business up. Everybody was asking what the smell was. I had to throw it out. Wasted $24.
I’m sorry but any place that sells rancid, old fish that smells like ammonia is not the place to be. The fish smelled so bad that I cannot get the stench out of my truck. It’s a shame, we spent $25 for old, inedible food.
The fish was great from the way that they seasoned the batter to the actual taste of the fish. It is was cooked to perfection. The fish wasn't burnt, greasy,or soggy. The fries,chips, or whatever you want to call them were on point as well. Both are crispy too. Their food reminded me of the good ole Southern cooking from someone's grandparents kitchen.
This is the best fish and chips I have had in my life!!! It was so good the food was fresh I got the Mandy special which in my opinion was a great deal only 11:99$ for three fish three shrimp and fries .every time I go the food is always super fresh always hot and they have great customer service everyone there is very Kind and nice and always are putting you first they also have the Kool-Aid machines which are a game changer you can never go wrong with all the different flavours of Kool-Aid that they have they have five different flavours of delicious an amazing Kool-Aid I also tried the cheesecake and a coleslaw both of those things are made by hand and it is so delicious and so good I would really recommend trying out Mandy ‘s Fish and chips i’ve tried all locations and all tasted amazing.
The fish isn't fresh it's been frozen prior to cooking IE. There's no bones the taste is ok a little salty. Their fried Oysters are gummy and over salted. I will not eat there again as I killed a rather large Roach that was crawling past my feet as I ate disgusting.
I was disappointed in the food. The shrimp was good, but the cod fish was rubbery and very bland. No taste at all. It felt like they microwaved the fish - it was not fresh. The fries were were bland and tasteless. The sweet potato pie was good - golden, buttery crust. The customer service was okay. The lady at the counter was on the cell phone - so, I felt like I was interrupting her conversation. She made me feel that way. I had the catfish previously and it was good. Not sure what happened this time.
Have been there more than once. We rented a separate room. Quiet, cozy. We liked the dishes. The service is top notch!
This place is not good at all!!! I got the 2 piece catfish and gyro sandwich which the gyro have more tomatoes and onions more than the meat. The catfish is exactly one piece that they split to make into two pieces…literally was expecting better tasting food since reading all reviews but this was not good at all!!! So disappointing!
I've been going to Mandy's for a couple years never had an issue until today. When I walked in the lady who took my order didn't greet me and was rude. When my food was ready I asked for barbecue sauce a different lady said it's 25 cents I told her I've never gotten charge for barbecue sauce at this location nor at the location in Laveen. She tried to argue with me I just walked out shaking my head. When I got in the car i noticed they forgot my tartar sauce. I went back inside and asked for it she just looked me crazy and the said ughh give him a tartar sauce. I know they charge for hot sauce and tartar sauce but not barbecue. I think I'm done with this place.
I ordered the Cod sandwich meal and it was delicious. Everything was hot and the fish was very flavorful will definitely be coming back
