Since we have few options to enjoy Southern style dishes in the Phoenix area, it's great to have Lo-Lo's as an option. The food has always been consistently good and you'll never leave hungry. The staff was delightful at this location. We ordered two of their specialties, the Lo-Lo's Chicken and Waffles and the Biscuits & Gravy. Love the style of their waffles - thinner and more crispy than typical. Chicken was perfect and the sausage gravy is liquid gold. It's not as purely authentic as some might prefer, but for a restaurant chain it's a good option.
I understand that this is not a fast food restaurant , but please be prepared to wait each time you need something. We requested water upon seating as we looked over the menu. (Our 1st time here) That took 10 minutes. Then we ordered food and cocktails. The cocktails came 15 minutes later and food 30 minutes after that. In fairness, it appeared they were understaffed that day. I'm not a waffle person, so I can't comment on that. The fish was decent and lightly breaded. I'd stick with Popeye's for the chicken. The acoustics are kind of like an echo chamber, so if you're looking for activity, this fits the bill. Amazingly, we didn't have to wait for the bill :)

Going to Lo Lo's is a must whenever I visit Phoenix\Scottsdale. The fried chicken is always perfect in taste. The Fried fish is also outstanding. The collard greens were sooo good. The cornbread with butter! Oh my! The food is consistently great and a hit out of the ball park. This last visit, I asked the manager for wifi code and she told me there is no public wifi there. That was a bummer because I needed to schedule a LYFT after I eat my dinner. That was a disappointment. Other than that, I have loved Lo Lo's for years and will continue to go there every time I visit AZ. Having said that, please obtain free wifi for diners! Thanks
I am a professional reviewer of all things. The first thing I do when I plan to visit a restaurant is review the lowest reviews. Upon reviewing the ones for this Lo-Lo's location I realized they would not prevent me for trying this place for the first time. I took three other individuals with me and we all had different versions on the chicken and waffles, plus we tried the trio appetizer place, banana pudding and red velvet cake. Everyone was very pleased with their meals, to include the desserts. Plus, how many places do you km now serve Koolaid.... The server we had was very professional and attentive to our table.The prices were average for this type of food. This was my first, but not last time to eat Lo-Lo's.
At 1st time at this location and we absolutely loved it. the service was perfect, amazing. The chicken was perfectly cooked super crispy and moist. The macaroni and cheese was delicious extra cheesy. I am not a drinker but the melon mojito was so refreshing and perfectly made. The best part was the waffles and cornbread freshly made. Definitely coming back its worth the drive from apache juntion....
Visiting family here in the area, from California. And let me just say.. I wish we had LoLo’s in CA! The southern fried chicken, was absolutely delicious and very juicy. The mac and cheese and potato salad, are to die for! I opted with the strawberry lemonade and was glad I did. Great environment. Very clean. Old school R&B music playing! My waitress was so friendly and always checking on me. We need more customer service like this. Next time I’m in the area, I will definitely be stopping by!
Didn't have waffles but the Chicken was off the chain! Fresh, hot, crispy, and grandma flavorful. The collard greens were like Aunt Mable used to make them...Good! Candied sweets aka candied yams were fresh, soft but not shmushed, and yes, deliciously sweet! And oh, that cornbread! Freshly baked with a hint of sweet mixed with butter. I think there may have been some kernels of corn in there but it was so good, I didn't stop to look!
Nothing short of awesome! Our waitress Peggy was the best. I took my daughter to this location for her birthday(breakfast) , the south central location is closer however customer service is much better at the Scottsdale location. We will definitely be back ?
Love it here! Friendly staff, amazing food, and great environment. They had a DJ playing great RNB loud enough to enjoy but low enough to have conversations without yelling. We had a great waitress, our food came out relatively fast and tasted AMAZING!! We will definitely be returning, everything on the menu was SOOO good!
