Checked this spot out after seeing it on the socials. Staff were super friendly, and making the reservation was easy (even for a Saturday night). The $8 reservation included a welcome shot, which was just okay. Drinks were good, but we were bummed the food menu was no longer the Filipino fusion menu we had heard so much about. Heads up for accessibility, this place is super dark, with only candles in most areas
Absolutely love this spot! Super funky, the drinks are great, and everything about the atmosphere is entertaining. Peter took care of us and honestly made the experience even better. He was really funny, quick with the drinks, and made our friend’s 21st birthday one he always cherish!
Best bar and music hands down in AZ. Drink menu is sophisticated and executed well Lots of dope hip hop music played which is good. Kinda what you would see in LA or NY. Lots of AZ spots seem to be reluctant to play rap. Not Killer Whale. Love the vibe and that we can reserve tables.
First time at this spot tonight for our friend's birthday... the atmosphere was super chill and something we've never experienced before. I literally cannot say anything bad about it! The drinks were STRONG and VERY tasty! Our server was amazing, very attentive and accommodating! The food was delicious, fresh, and arrived VERY quickly! All in all this was a great experience and we are looking forward to our next visit!
It’s been a constant “let’s go here” and never getting those reservations—until this time. I’d say, worth the wait. This place has the bad-a$$ attitude and means it. Even with that, it’s a place to feel safe as you have a good time. We celebrated two 21-year-old young ladies, and as their DJ did their bday shout-outs, one guy in the bar screamed “show us your t***,” only to find out later, he was kicked out, as this place will take no nonsense from anyone. The DJ and server quickly came to our table and apologized (even if not needed) but we thought that was incredibly thoughtful. We had a great time. Our girls had a phenomenal time with everyone, as well. (We got cool points with them, so it was an extra win.) Great environment, great music, AMAZING staff. From checking in, to walking out, we all had a fantastic time and definitely will return. Yes, even us older folk. :-P
It’s hard to know where to start since my group’s experience was so poor, we were taken aback.Right off the bat, our server was very strange. We ordered shots for the table. Everyone was going to get one, except one of our friends who is sober and was going to be the DD. He refused to believe that she was sober and made a comment about her race (being Asian).Being completely honest, we had a couple of drinks before our reservation, but we were nowhere near plastered. Not to mention, there were people far more drunk at the bar, as it was midnight. We thought we would have a good time here, but were mistaken. The server ended up telling us that they were out of shots, even though he was insistent that our sober friend get one. He continued to make weird racial comments to her.He insisted that we ordered the shots twice, and just forgot- but we absolutely did not. He was looking for a way to kick us out. Which he proceeded to do. We tried talking to the manager, but she was dismissive and rude. I have never been asked to leave an establishment, let alone with seemingly no reason. I see this attitude seems to be the general attitude of management, staff, and owners just looking through some of their replies- to be totally unprofessional and never admit any wrong doing or even a misunderstanding. How do you run a business like this? Also what a dumb, half-baked name for a restaurant/bar.
Writing this review as a warning to others to think twice before coming here.My friends and I came here for the first time very excited to try it out. We had a reservation and were seated shortly after arriving. Our server immediately put off very weird vibes to us. The first issue that we faced was when one guest at our table stated that we would like a round of the mystery shots as our first drink. The server responded and confirmed “Okay 5 mystery shots for the table?” At that point we responded and said “No actually 4 - we have one person with us that is not drinking.” At this point her began to target the woman who was not drinking in our group. He began to say “There’s NO way you’resober.” and “I can see your Asian glow.”At that point we responded pretty blankly “No actually she is 100% sober, she is allergic to alcohol.”He said okay and walked away. It was at that point that I was under the impression that we had placed an order for 4 mystery shots.A few minutes went by and then the server came back to the table and said “So what can I get for you guys?”With genuine confusion I said, “Oh I thought we just put in an order for 4 mystery shots?”He aggressively responded and said, “No….I told you we were out of those…..”I was genuinely confused - immediately I was thinking “Why would he have tried to get our table 5 of the shots if they don’t even have them in the first place…”Tbh at that time I attributed the confusion to the load music and that it was a miscommunication. We went back to the menu and said we would pick out something else.Moments later the server then returned to the table to state that we had to leave the restaurant due to being “too intoxicated and forgetting that we ordered shots twice.” Although at no point in time did we try to order any additional alcohol besides attempting to confirm the initial 4 shots we had placed an order for.He then proceeded to escort us out while continuing to target the woman that was sober in our group.(I also would like to point out that YES we did have a couple drinks before arriving - but with a reservation for MIDNIGHT I don’t think it is unreasonable to expect that. And people were arriving at the bar to be seated that were far more intoxicated than us.)When attempting to discuss the situation with management they unfortunately were dismissive and unhelpful. You could chalk this situation up as a misunderstanding, but at the end of the day the server put off a vibe to us that he was discriminating against our table for invalid reasons. And at the end of the day, I find it irresponsible and unacceptable to verbally attack a sober individual in a bar setting for not drinking alcohol.I would implore the management to consider the employment of this server - as he was extremely rude, gaslighting, and discriminatory.(The server was a middle aged white man)
If I could give 6 stars I would. the vibe is so much fun and we loved the playlist. The drinks came out quickly everytime we ordered and the staff was helpful with their suggestions. Our server was super friendly and we'll definitely be back. Make a reservation though because it was definitely full and we were glad we didn't have to wait for standing room or a seat.
I was looking forward to coming here, but after checking up on the reviews I don't even need to step into the establishment to know what kind of service I would be receiving. As a business, you guys can't seem to take criticism at all. Your responses are disrespectful, rude, inappropriate, unprofessional, and quite frankly childish. It is embarrassing to read your responses and I cannot believe you can sit happy with yourself knowing that is how you treat your customers. I've never seen a business respond so cruelly towards their guests. Can you guys not take accountability or offer any sort of sincere apology?
