Eclectic place with a cool vibe and a huge bar with open seating. Service is friendly! Tuesdays are all day happy hour! Every drink I’ve had from the menu was delicious and boozy! The food is delicious and freshly prepared! Try this place for a cute date night or to catch up with friends and family!

I enjoy this place and their cocktails very much. They do a great happy hour daily! If you are a tiki drink fan and are looking for the place, this is the spot. They have signature cocktails and some good beers on tap, their food is delicious, and if you are thinking of a tiki drink you don’t see on their menu, ask and chances are they can make it.

Great food and service. The coconut cream pie was amazing, so good that I missed taking a picture of it. Highly recommend. Also the Dr Funk is great when you want a fruity drink, but it sneaks up on you.

We first visited Hula’s in 2016 within a of year of moving to the Valley of the Sun. We’ve kept coming back. Love it then and since. Over the years, this neuvelle tiki joint has become one of our top go-to places in Phoenix, if not ‘the’ go-to rendezvous in Phoenix. We’ve grown to appreciate Hula’s even more after a recent visit to Maui! Both their locations are fabulous, but we have preference for the Phoenix locale. Early on I made comments on Yelp that after time I did not think did it justice, so here I am updating my first post. Wow! Tremendous! Mouthwatering! Extraordinary libations! Contemporary Tiki at its best! Fun! Hula’s is great! From drinks … Hawaii 5-0 being my personal fantabulous cocktail ever, the Pain Killer not far behind, a superb Tropical Itch as well as Dr. Funk, not to mention their impeccable bar standards (the bartender mixes drinks faultless) … to eats – let’s talk Moco Loco! A main fave! Its only second best that I experienced since Maui – the best in the Valley of the Sun! Fish cakes, fantastic sweet potato fries, the potstickers are to die for, Thai Fish Cakes are superb, an incredible Beef Bowl, a mouthwatering Surfrider Chicken Sticks, shrimp rolls, fried calamari, fish bites… the list goes on, and on. Then there’s the atmosphere… a modern contemporary enterprise that brings the traditional tiki to the present without losing its carefree, low key, relaxed and a comforting setting to the fore… to service… you’re made to feel at home or in a cozy surrounding. The staff, management and even the customers are welcoming and feeling and exuding the vibes… to atmosphere… Islandish, chic and fashionable, making you feel chilled, warm and tranquil, without any overwhelming nostalgic unconventional abstraction of a made-up feel of strange aspects of unique… to comforting… a place that makes you simply enjoy life in a relaxing and tranquil way, yet inspire you to camaraderie and reverie… to cleanliness… every table, the environs (and needless to say, the restrooms) are pleasant, clean and tidy (especially during our dealings with COVID), and you name it, it has passed our grandest expectations over and over again, making Hula’s our fave eats, imbibing and munching as well as chilling place in the Valley! Bon appétit Islanders and Landlubbers alike!

HORRIBLE SERVICE!! We went to the Phoenix (7th St) location on Mother’s Day, BUT it wasn’t overly crowded. We were seated in a side room that was dark, the floor was dirty, sticky and there was broken glass where we were seated. My husband asked the waiter if someone can clean it, and the waiter had an attitude. When the guy came to clean it, he used a wet towel to wipe the floor but did NOT get the broken glass that was on the floor. We asked for a different table 3 times and finally my husband went to the front to ask AGAIN and they finally got us another table in the main dining area. We waited 10-15 minutes for our waiter to come take our order. Our food was lukewarm. 95% of the staff that we interacted with seemed like they didn’t want to be there. Needless to say, we will NOT be going back!

Super trendy spot for tiki bar-themed cocktails and Hawaiian bites. Loved the patio seating and our Blood Orange Martini and Bloody Mary. They were both well-mixed and tasty (not heavy alcohol flavor as I am sensitive to this). The Luau Pork Hilo Sliders were the best!! We also enjoyed the sweet potato fries and pork stuffed potstickers. The Habanero Lime Chicken Taco was good, but nothing to seek out. Friendly and attentive service on a Sunday afternoon. Will definitely be back to try more of their delicious cocktails and other dishes.

Great open air restaurant. Ample sized bar, large party friendly and patio. Easy Togo ordering. Awesome happy hour. Tasty food. Nicely decorated.

Great food! Service was a little slow but they seemed a littler short staffed, our waitresss was super sweet though! Will definitely be back if I ever g t back to Phoenix

We really liked the vibe of this place: hip and modern, yet not at all pretentious. We started off with some very good calamari steak and pork potstickers. We also enjoyed the Jawaiian jerk pork plate and the mahi in lemongrass. However, the sides that came with both dishes were far too sweet, unnecessarily so.

If you asked me an hour ago the review that I would have given Hula’s, I would have said 1 star. We waited an hour and 20 minutes for our food, never got water refills and waited 30+ minutes for our drinks. BUT, the manager drove back after his shift to cover our bill and give us a very generous gift card to come back. I have never seen such outstanding service. We didn’t even complain, and they knew we had waited far too long and really took care of us. I was so impressed by the genuineness from the manager and I cannot wait to go back to Hula’s. This is how customer service should be done!
