Went in sat down. First off no ambiance. The lights were like spot lights and it was loud in there from the room echo. The booths had hard seats with no padding and the table did not look much better. Then to top it off we were suppose to take out our phone and scan the QR code? Pretty much a mess hall type ambiance. We left without ordering food. They need to try harder and not cheap out with QR code BS. First impressions are important so glad we did not order any food can only imagine the skimping going on there.
We were visiting from Canada and have always wanted to try the crawfish experience. We were pleasantly surprised! Very friendly staff. Our meals were on point, delicious and very generous serving sizes. Our server filled my pint of beer to the absolute brim and when I thanked him for that he said "sir I pour beer for my customers the way I would want my own poured". Loved it! Can't wait to come back.
I felt like I was almost at a Hawaiian luau. Food was excellent had some coconut shrimp but lots of good veggies. Excellent presentation and taste.
It was good, but the service was horrible. Get rid of the kids working and hire some adults who are appreciative of their customers. Also, get some menus for older people. We saw some people struggling to order and nobody helped them. Not everyone knows how to use the QR menu. ???
It was nice to get in and seated so fast! Just like any restaurants are short on staff. But always good food!
I have been coming to Hot n Juicy for a long time and have been to multiple locations in different states. This location is the nicest and largest in the valley. It also has been the most consistent with the freshness of the food and the spice level if you like spicy.Similar to other reviews, my wife and I have had issues with service. I would like to give the benefit of the doubt though. We tend to come in around 4, before peak hours when there aren't many people. Grant it, they are light staff at that time but no one comes to check in, and I have to wave a server down. Fortunately, Rachel P saved the experience! She was extremely nice and made sure we had what we needed. As for the food, we love the head off shrimp, green muscles, and cajun fries. Getting a corn in your bag is a MUST. We only get hot n juicy seasoning with our a food, its delicious. Make sure you are honest with yourself on the spice level. Mild and medium can be too spicy for some people I've been with. I get spicy and it definitely gets me sweating and sniffling. ?All in all, H n J is my favorite seafood boil spot.so despite the bad experience here and there, I'll still be back.
The food is delicious when the service is good. We were seated and then we just sat there. No one ever came over to take even our drink orders. As if that that wasn’t enough, they took the order of a big table that came in after us, then had people come in even later than that. The other side of the restaurant didn’t even have anyone sitting there, so it wasn’t packed..Updated: Just don’t go when they’re busy because they’re short staffed. When it isn’t packed, service is amazing and food is good when served fresh. Unfortunately during our last visit the food was served somewhat cold and the sauce was even thickening because of it not being hot, so we will not be returning. But we have eaten here when it’s been served hot and it’s delicious at those times.
Prices on paper menus given to us as we sat down were incorrect. We were charged more. No adjustment was offered. Apparently the QR code on the center napkin holder had the correct prices, however, that was never explained until after receipt charges were received. No tip was given to the waitress. The seven of us won't return.
Bait and switch on the menu. Waitress padded bill over and above the menu price. Refused to change it and said no manager available. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK.
We have dined at many "peel and eat" seafood restaurants in the past and this one is by far the worst. The garlic butter sauce was so very very bitter that we could barely eat it. Garlic should be flavourful. not bitter. The shrimp were large but extremely difficult to peel...much more so than the normal activity. Do not waiste tour $$$ here.
