My husband and I ran into the owner Mark at Sam's Club. We spoke with him and mentioned how we've been really wanting to try this place! He told us how he was the owner and has been run for 35+ years. It's five mins from our house so we had to make a stop. We both got the shredded chicken sandwich, I got coleslaw and my husband got the baked beans as sides. The bakes beans is one of the best things I have ever had, zingy and sweet! The coleslaw was obviously homemade and delicious! The shredded chicken was so juicy and smokey and paired perfectly with the Bbq sauce. Everything was absolutely delicious! We definitely recommend this place!

This place is horrible. I have been there a total of 3 time. In 2017 it was decent. I went back with my mom in 2020/2021 we complain about the food amongst ourselves but we ate the food, especially considering what we paid for it. I went back today 2/14/22 (only bc all the other black owned bbq restaurants are closed on Monday) to eat with my sons for Valentine’s Day. I order 3 kids meal ..2 ribs one side and a small drink and a spicy hot link.To began, the presentation of the food, well there is none. None of the food is actually grilled. The greens were horrible the flavor is unexplainable, it’s like the seasons their hair g are t a good mixture. My boys eat greens and my boys EAT baby …they both took about two bites and were with them. my youngest took two bits out of ONE rib and was done. My oldest took 2 bites out of each rib and was done. The spicy hot-link was two skinny hot-link slices in half and heated in the microwave place on a COLD REGULAR HAMBURGER bun! HORRIBLE.Ellen was playing on the TV and it felt as if I was at home. I wanted to feel like I left the house and from the atmosphere to the food it was absolutely basic. No Passion. The food has worsened over the years. On top of all that there was a lady who look as if she walk by and found some where to hang out coughing and everything. I spent all of 20-25 mins in thereI threw left over ways I was pretty upset about spending my money. I 100% regretted it and I will never return or recommend this restaurant.Lo Lo’s Chicken and Waffles it is until I can find something to top that, but I hate to even risk it at this point. $40 down the drain.

I got my taste for top notch barbecue while living in Texas. I lead with this because there are so many styles of barbecue, a frame of reference helps. Honey Bears is really good at making their meat moist and their sides are all excellent - beans and potato salad are my favorites. For my own personal taste, they could season the meat itself more so that you don't have to rely on the sauce so heavily for flavor (that's Texas style - dry rub gives most of the flavor.)That said, their sauce is good and unlike most sauces, thin like a vinegar sauce, but red and with just the right amount of kick. All in all a great experience every time.

A family-owned small business that has honesty, integrity, and really dang good bbq! Their sauce formula is perfectly balanced between sweet and zesty, and all the meats cooked AREN'T dry but nice and tender. They put a lot of love into their food.- by someone who's isn't always fond of bbq!

Drove 40 miles to eat at this establishment, and I ordered Nashville “Hot” fries. I was deeply disturbed when I opened the box, and they forgot the Hot seasoning in the “Hot” fries. It's the most essential part of the dish. I even reached out to the company and I heard nothing. Stand up place with customer service in mind. That's what you get when you support a small business like Honey Bear.

1st time visiter. Owner greeted us as we walked in the restaurant, very kind. Felt like he was saying 'Come on in' like we were family. Food was like homemade straight from your own kitchen. So good, couldn't lick all the juice from my fingers, although there was utensils available, we dug in like we were at grandma's house. Remember to have the homemade peach cobbler, don't miss out. Too good. Thank you Honey Bear.PS...I even made my sister come all the way from Globe to enjoy my 2nd time experience, and yeah she loved it too.

OMG I don't often leave reviews but I'd remember Ed this place when I cheated on my being a vegetarian. The only other place I've tried in years cuz I had a $50 free credit there was pork on a fork. I just got a chicken/rib combo, it's more food than I got for the $50 at the other place, far nicer peeps AND it is sooooo delish... Keep the good work up. The greens are outstanding too. Don't bother anywhere else but here when in Phoenix.. yum yum yum ?

Tried calling them three times to place a large order for a family function. They do not return calls NO one returned my calls. They say to use their website to place order. I placed order picked it up and when we put the food out, realized we did not and did not receive part of it. Called again multiple times, and didn't get an answer, or response from their Facebook messenger, which they say to use for a quick response. The food was good except the ribs were tough. I will probably go back to Famous Dave's for ordering for large family functions. It is further, but can at least reach them to order or if there is a problem with the order.

The food at Honey Bears is good! The interior needs a remodel bad. So I would give the food 5 stars, and the building a 3.It's time to bring your building up to the 2022.
