I went to El Taco Santo today and the carne asada tacos were so delicious!!! I got the meal which also included a bean tacos and quesadilla which I didn't finish everything but absolutely had to taste everything which was excellent! This place is amazing, I'm glad we found it driving by. This will be our taco Tuesday to go place. 8 had some chicken nachos with beans, rice and cheese. My wife had 3 tacos and she's very picky about her tacos and this place brighten her eyes. The service was on point with awesome hospitality and service. Thanks to everyone for making our first time experience great!
So grateful I listened to my friend and came here for dinner. The food is so delicious!! From the wonderfully flavorful carne asada to the homemade taste of the borracho beans. If you want authentic flavor with a family feeling customer service, come here, eat here promise the carne asada won't let you down and you won't regret it!What I got:Carne asada tacos with a carne asada quesadilla, pollo asada taco with borracho beans y Jamaica jugo. Also got a Santos Burrito with carne asada and I already wish I had more!!
Went there once and thought it was OK (but couldn't remember why), so went back. Was disappointed. Summarize 3 points:. 1) the décor is not nice, I mean... this is a nice, **family area in Ahwatukee, please don't make us watch slow motion, up-close movies of men wearing nothing but underwear on a HUGE screen when ordering - nor as a table top...it's revolting, and especially in the context of EATING! 2) I ordered the chicken tacos because I thought that by "chicken", they meant, (but of course!) - tasty, soft, SHREDDED chicken. No - Surprisingly, what you get is large, hard, square chunks of the driest, hardest chicken imaginable - unappetizing. 3) The beans are nearly just brown water. Now my wife is Mexican, we eat a lot of pinto beans at home. I love beans! Yes, I understand that authentic, tasty beans are much more watery than "refried beans" from a can - but too far is too far. You're getting dangerously close to Rubios, or basically the same - the 'beans' are almost needed to be sipped through a straw, it's a bit ridiculous. For the price....it's not a good deal. I rate businesses holistically - is the price appropriate for the food? (No). Is the environment nice? (no - crowded and revolting, offensive decor even playing on video). Are the people who serve you nice? Yes - this you have done well.If you fixed the chicken and eliminated the bizarre decoration theme I would consider becoming a regular.
We had just about every taco on the menu. The food was delicious and being a guy from the east coast it is hard to find tacos as good as these where I live . The guy behind the counter has great suggestions and had a total command of the menu . I will return.
Tried the chicken tacos and bean taco. Everything was so good! The sauce and salsa counter is amazing! You can really test your spice level here! Loved the food and ambiance. Definitely coming back for more !
The food is pretty good however the asada wasn't cooked as well as I would have liked. I also didn't like that the menu on here shows the 8oz rice for $1.50 (appropriate for the size) but the truck charged me $3.50 on top of it being cold, which definitely isn't worth it . The prices here aren't accurate at all, everything is $1 or more extra. I paid $20 for 5 tacos and a small condiment sized container of rice on taco Tuesday . Probably wouldn't eat from them again if they were to come back to our complex simply bc of these things.
I am super picky. I laughed at the idea of a bean taco vs a bean burrito and well it was a amazing. Great fun idea. Nowhere around Phoenix has great carne and this place surprised me the carne asada tacos had great flavor. I will be frequenting here now.
This place is amazing. Great tacos! They have a bunch of salsa options as well. I really hope these guys make it long term.
