we ordered a mushroom pot pie, potato, cheese and onion pasty along with some British food, bread and butter, rosemary potatoes, baked beans and mushy peas. I have to say the bread and butter was the best part of the meal. beans and peas were extremely salty, pasty burnt and looked nothing like a pasty to me. I doubt I'll return.
I was pretty stoked to find this place randomly.. I've eaten here but in tempe. So I sit at the bar as usual and bartender is not a keeper as someone I'm willing to tip. I was the only person at the bar and she was pretty absent in "serving" me. 1. (Not her problem) they didn't have what I ordered. 2. Music was loud we couldn't hear each other but you could feel the tension, she either shouldn't have worked tonight or she shouldn't be working here. Other servers took my order and or answered my questions. She pretty much took up space behind the bar in my opinion. The food was good, it deserved a 4 star but service brought it down. Don't come here at night for a good time.
This place is such a cool spot. It’s right in the downtown Phoenix area and there are misters to help with the heat. This place has three different levels. We sat upstairs and it was such a cool vibe. There were pool tables and plenty of seating. The have tons of vegan and vegetarian options so there are options for everyone. The staff was quick to take our order and great at checking in with us considering they seemed to be pretty busy. I started off by getting the Mangolorian and it was so tasty! It had a dried mango slice for garnish and was such a nice touch. We ordered the curried potatoes to start with and these potatoes were absolutely amazing. They were incredibly flavorful and came with a tahini sauce(vegan option) for dipping. My BF ordered the Lovely Bit of Salmon pasty and he said it was super filling and flavorful. I ordered the Vegan Guinness Stew and it definitely stole the show. The filling was so tasty. It was served with a chive tahini sauce and it was incredible. You could tell the vegetables are marinated in the stew for awhile because they soaked up the gravy nicely. I will definitely be coming back to try more of their menu items.
Could've easily been a 4 star visit but our server/bartender lacked any personality. After one sip of the lemonade which wasn't sweet at all but extremely tart, we asked to switch with a coke. She charged us for the lemonade which is only a dollar more, but it was the principle of paying for something that wasn't consumable. She also looked upset that I was requested the coke. I drink beer, my daughter thought the lemonade would be refreshing but it was nasty..that lemonade needs a bunch of sugar. I simply reduced the tip by the difference, this lady want approachable. If there was a cordial and inviting personality working there, I would've just asked for a correction. The Chicken in the Caesar salad wasn't great but my cottage pie was amazing.Smiles go a long way. This was the first time at the downtown location, all other experiences in Scottsdale and Tempe have been 5 stars. This lady was so disinterested, we felt like we were a bother. I definitely won't be returning during the day when this lady is working. Maybe she was having a bad day but we don't need to be made to feel that we're the cause of it by coming in.
Started the night at the faux Irish dive across the street. Was ignored there so left and walked over to this gem of a place. Great and attentive service despite being packed on all three floors. Very much recommend it!
Ok this place is a must ?, very unique, there is little bit of everything but most importantly, these people care, about your experience, the quality of what they put out on the table for what you pay. Just awesome!. Thank you.4 stars because: I know it's a rustic ambiance but I would just recommend cleaning the tables and benches better. We were the first in the restaurant when they opened and I had to clean our table and bench from left over food stuck on them.
Went downtown for a ghost tour, but needed to get a bite prior. We came across the Cornish P...absolutely loved the vibes, service was fantastic, our bartender treated us like family. We live in North Phoenix, but it is worth the drive downtown. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The food was amazing, I ordered the Greek and my wife ordered the Cubano. The were awesome. Wait was a little long, but was well worth it.
We were in Phoenix for a conference and was out walking around town and found this place. The beer and cocktails were great plus the staff was very friendly and great service!!!
This place is amazing! I highly recommend! We went in on a Saturday evening and it wasn't too crowded. We went downstairs but it was too quiet for us so we decided to go upstairs and found a table. There are a couple pool tables upstairs. The food is AMAZING and the price was great for what we got. All the waitstaff we talked to were very friendly.
