You would miss this place if you aren’t looking for it. Not fancy by any means but the food is exquisite! Lunch would be a good time to go if not make reservations for dinner. Get the Oaxaca Fundido. You’re welcome!

Delicious chicken enchiladas with green sauce. Friendly and helpful waitstaff. Close to the highway which is nice for traveling through.

This place is fire! Probably the best tacos I’ve had in my life. And I just don’t say stuff like that lightly. Steak was marinated in liquid gold. Tacos fresh and home made, beans and rice fresh not sitting in a pot somewhere. Margaritas were small, but on point. You’ll have to get reservations. Venue is let’s say “cozy.” Service was slow getting to us, but once they did the hustle was real. Highly recommend!! We will be back and tell all our friends.

My wife and I stopped here from out of town on a recommendation from a friend, we were not disappointed! The food was very good. My wife ordered tacos, shrimp, fish, and beef. The beef was her favorite, but she said the others were great as well. I ordered the enchiladas, one mushroom, and the other beef. While the beef enchilada was very good, the mushroom enchilada was phenomenal. We topped it off with an order of churros that were filled with Bavarian cream. By far the best churros I have eaten! I'd recommend this place to anyone who loves Mexican food.

Since this is the #1 rated restaurant in Phoenix and it was close, we had to give it a try. Lots of cars in the parking lot were encouraging. I had the Mango Steak salad with a cup of Chicken Tortilla soup and my dining partner had Barbacoa Green Chili Enchiladas and the Chocolate Chipolte pie. The food was EXCELLENT. A nice spice level on the enchiladas with great flavor. The salad was tossed with a Mango Citrus dressing that was just the right amount. The soup was hot enough to keep the cheese melted without being too hot to eat. It had just rained so we ate outside and enjoyed the desert air. All in all, it was the best dining experience I've had in a long while.

Since last November I have been waiting to return to this desert gem. On a three hour layover from Palm Springs to Chicago we grabbed a cab at the airport to this nearby place. What a treat! The flavors are exquisite, the service impeccable. Don't hesitate!

Arguably the best tacos of my life. Great intro to phoenix’s food scene. Sketchy neighborhood but tacos are so worth it. Also don’t skip the churros. I don’t even like churros but these were AWESOME. can’t go wrong with any of the tacos I think our group ordered the entire spread. Al pastor was my favorite! Ingredients were high quality and executed very well. Meat cooked expertly and flavors were well balanced.

Everything about this restaurant was excellent. The service was great the drinks were outstanding as well as the food. The place is quite small and can get very crowded but it is definitely worth the wait can’t wait to go back the next time we are in the Phoenix area. Please see my pictures for food & drink descriptions.

ok so here's the skinny. Great spot dirt parking lot so sit inside! great drinks but stick with the Mexican food. The menu has Jamaican food , WHY? i ordered the wildmushroom enchiladas and wow amazing. Also the queso fondido was bomb!

Was looking forward to celebrating our 50th Anniversary and two birthdays at a 'Special' restaurant. Did my research and saw all the positive reviews and recognitions for the restaurant. Went through Yelp to reserve and made special request for nice sitting (was placed right by front door with no acknowledgment of our special occasion). Very noisy and congested area. Requested that we might move to corner and put two tables together (not happening per host). Our server seemed to care less about serving us (really must of been having a bad day)! Order came in good time, chicken taco dish dry and all others were adequate (not anything special). Just like some have said: Not up to the hype and great reviews (also my opinion). Maybe not the best place for special occasions - just an interesting place for lunch. Also, called restaurant multiple times (5 to be exact) to make sure request could be accommodated before going and never could get anyone to answer? Maybe was too busy of day for Cocina to have a special time!
