I came from Chicago I found city of spice It was family owned restaurant this was my 3rd Visit I love it all is fresh Authentic food and best part is Halal ……

Popped in on July 4th around 4:30ish and practically had the place to ourselves. Score! There is a large lot which means parking was not a problem (of course it was a holiday, too), plus the restaurant was well lit and nicely decorated. As we entered we were greeted with a loud welcoming "Hello! Sit anywhere you like." by a young boy. That same boy (11-years-old) came to our table to take our order -- damn, he his stuff! Hell, he was better than other servers twice his age, no exaggeration. All three of us were impressed by him.During conversation he told us he had been doing this since he was nine, to which I replied jokingly, "what are you now, ten?" That's when we learned he was 11. He was extremely polite and very well spoken, using phrases like "for full disclosure your dessert is made fresh and will take longer than normal" as well as "I regret to inform you we do not have the saffron kheer". I sure as heck didn't speak like that when I was 11 years old. LOL!He was knowledgeable about the food, I'm guessing his parents own the place; he was not shy about offering suggestions; and was very attentive, returning to our table many times asking how our meals were and if we needed anything. The mango lassi was already made, sitting in the fridge - it was bright orange & thick in consistency. The garlic naan was hearty, hot, and oh so tasty. The meals came out steaming & spicy, with plenty of rice to boot. The kheer was not bad but seemed a bit runny compared to other restaurants' kheer desserts. If it wasn't for the pre-made lassi (I couldn't help but wonder how fresh it was) and the runnier than expected kheer I would have given this place five stars. But I still would not hesitate to visit City of Spice again.

If you love Indian Food I believe you can not find a better place to go. Small restaurant located in a strip mall. My wife and I had a great experience there. Nothing fancy but food was incredible. What also made it so great is that it's a family run place who do everything to make you feel like as if your belong there. The service sets them apart.

I was excited to try the Gobi Manchurian after reading the reviews. I ordered in person so that I wouldn't experience the extended wait as mentioned in other reviews. My food was hot but the Gobi Manchurian is a wet, slippery, breading mess. I can barely find any cauliflower for $9.99. The samosa was hot and not soggy and disappointing like the Gobi Manchurian. I do not recommend. The lid contains the breading I picked off looking for the actual food. The actual food was difficult to find as it was so small and over cooked.

We only tried three dishes (dosa, chicken tandoori, gobi manchurian) and didn't get a chance to try out the curries. Out of those three dosa was the best. Chicken tandoori looked great but was alright, and missing the flavor. Gobi manchurian was good. They had couple of local soda/pop drinks (thumbs up and limca) that's only available in Indian stores. Owner was friendly and came to the table a couple of times to check on us.

Everything on the menu is delicious and truly authentic Indian food!!

Hidden gem ?! Saw the reviews and decided to pop in for a quick evening snack. Ordered chole bature and it was delicious. Ended up ordering chicken fried rice and butter chicken to-go. Will visit again for sure!

Yesterday was my first time visiting City of Spice with my best friend. I had never had the pleasure of eating such a delightful meal. The amazing flavors, scrumptious dishes, and helpful staff were absolutely wonderful! I love that the place is family oriented and it does give you a home like feeling. I felt welcomed from the moment I walked in the door and my questions were answered with warmth and a smile. Our server was super patient and very friendly. The owner even came by our table to briefly chat with us and to see what we thought of our meal. I was delighted to have lunch there. We ordered a variety of dishes because it was my first time trying Indian food and each dish was incredible. We got all of our dishes with a "medium" spice level and it was perfect for my level of tolerance. (Though my best friend loves his dishes much hotter he too was very pleased). If you end up having leftovers, no problem, make sure to take it with you for later.

We just stopped in for an impromptu dinner. We got the Butter Chicken and Coconut chicken with 2 orders of garlic naan. But we’re delicious! The food was amazing, the pictures of the food on the screens were helpful, and the people are so amazing! Honestly the experience itself is what amazed us and we cannot wait to come back!!!! They recommended Chicken 65 and I regret not even trying it! Please come hungry!

Located in a questionable area, it was greatly to my surprise when I walked into City of Spice. The atmosphere was pleasant with a solid incense aroma in the air. The premises were very clean and well maintained as also. What initially grabbed my attention was the prices. Their menu was slightly cheaper than others. However, the quality of food missed not a single beat! The food was delicious and upheld the ideal of great restaurant food. The owner (or who I believed to be the owner), truly had a vested interest as he went from table to table to ensure his guests had no problems; he was very hospitable.Since it's not located too far from where I live, I will definitely be making a stop in the future.Great work, City of Spice!
