Since moving from Seattle I have been looking for some excellent Thai food for over a year. This is now my "go-to" place with amazing, fresh, and authentic flavors that I haven't had in over a year.I did a call in order for carryout and I was greeted by amazing service on the phone. After making my way there, my order was ready and I was again amazed by the great customer service right when I walked in. I felt as if I was already a regular customer and they had known me for a long time. The food was spiced perfectly and the fresh vegetables complemented the dishes. I'm just mad that it took me so long to find this gem of a restaurant with great employees! If you're looking for great Thai food, what are you waiting for!?!
Food was amazing, service was great, place was a tiny little dive (not for snobs) so pickup orders recommended because you might not get a seat. We got lucky after work on a weekday. We had the curry puff special, crab puffs, yellow curry with chicken, pineapple red curry, and ice cream. Everything was a good heat level (as requested), tasted fresh, served promptly and piping hot. Our only complaint is it isn't next door to our apartment.
Delicious Thai food! We’ve eaten Thai food at several places in the Phoenix valley, and this was truly outstanding! We got the pineapple red curry and pork fried rice. They also gave us complimentary fried bananas!6/16/22 Update: My husband and I have now eaten at Chanpen Thai a handful of times, and we think it is the best Thai food in the valley. In addition, the atmosphere in this place is so welcoming and neighborly. The guy at the cash register handed me a bottle of water today because of the heat. I love this place.
The food was piping hot and fresh. We ordered some spring rolls and shared. I got a Thai coffee and if you like coffee, it’s the way to go. Lastly my wife ordered noodles and I got the Seafood Avocado curry. Beat my expectations and our server was a sweetheart.
We chose this restaurant because of the reviews and when we drove up it looked like a real hole in the wall. I am so glad that we went on in!!! Don’t let the outside make you think twice about eating here. The service was great and the food was fantastic. My husband had the red curry duck and said it was phenomenal. I had Thai basil chicken and it was really good too,
First time here, tried a few different things. Started with Thai toast and spring rolls, both very nice. Main courses we got wonton soup, pad Thai, and Massaman curry. The first two were lovely, but the curry was easily the best I've ever had. Most Massamans are somewhat diluted or weak in flavor, this one was amazing. At the end they gifted us a banana ice cream dessert dish which was very good as well. Along with excellent service throughout, it's very easy to recommend this restaurant.
Had Panang Curry and brn rice. It was so creamy and smooth, could dictate the heat so was customizable. This is my "go to dish" in a Thai rest so I have had it E to W and N to S in the US and this was by far the best. Loved it so much the first time my husband requested we go back and have again. We never go to the same restaurant twice on vacation. Please teach a cooking class on line!
You know you’re going to eat a delicacy meal when you drive way out to eat at a restaurant. I wasn’t disappointed!!! They were busy at the time I went there and I had to wait a little bit. The wait was worth it though. I got sitted and got attend to quickly. I ordered my food and drinks and waited. I ordered duck curry and Thai tea. My food came out and the aroma sent me to Heaven and back. I took a bite out of my food and my taste buds was jubilating. I enjoyed my meal. I got checked upon as needed. Great staffs and cooks. Customer service is a 11/10.
This is by far the best Thai restaurant that we have found, not only in Phoenix but throughout the entire state. They serve large portions of perfectly prepared and delicious food, even adjusting standard menu options to align with our preferences. Not only is the food extraordinarily good but so is the staff: efficient, professional, focused, capable and welcomingly friendly.Enjoy.
The food here was top notch. Try the drunken noodles medium or level 5 if your into it. As well as the thai tea. None of the food was bland I would highly recommend Chanpen. Went during lunch specials and left one happy customer. place may look a bit rough on the outside but the staff is very attentive and courteous. 10/10
