Service is a joke. Waited 45 minutes for a salad and soup after ordering online. Got brushed off trying to ask for the order way after it should have been done. A couple dozen people got their food before me that ordered in line after I showed up. Probably didn’t help that I saw the guy putting the take out orders together backlog my ticket 5 times. Don’t order online. You’ll get the worst experience
The service at night is not good. Attitudes are low and there is no leadership or organization. Food gets colder as you watch it sit right in front of you waiting for the cafeteria line in front. All while 3 workers stand around waiting for something to do. Salads are made so slow and soup isn't stirred before serving.... Sad sad day.
I've been to this Desert Ridge CZ and the Arrowhead one, they're both amazing. The salad is fresh, so many options, and the sandwiches are full of flavor. I opt for soup when it's chilly outside and those are wonderful also! Visit Cafe Zupas, you won't be disappointed!
Do not go to this location during lunch, unless you like long lines and waiting. I placed an online order at 10AM, pickup at 11:45AM for a business lunch w clients at 12:30P, and it was not ready when I arrived at 11:50A. After 3 other orders were bagged before mine, I was given my food at 12:10P, causing me to be late for my lunch. As we were unpacking the food, I noticed my Garden Protein Bowl was missing chicken and the egg, leaving only a plastic box filled w a handful of lettuce, a teeny half of a tomato, and a large broccoli stalk. Completely unacceptable. Will never order from here again.
Early supper and just wanted soup. Chicken and wild rice very good but I hope it was hot enough, a little worried. Mushroom bisque was very good also but also hope it was hot enough, fingers crossed we won’t get food poisoning. Wanted to eat outdoors but all the tables were dirty and there were bird droppings all over, went back in and at at the last clean booth. Maybe it’s better for lunch and cleaner? The front door needs to be cleaned. There were hand and fingerprints all over. Though the food is good I won’t go back it’s just too iffy.
Fast, fresh, and many choices.Roster red pepper and lobster soup & mushroom bisque were fantastic.
I'm assuming there's a staffing shortage, so I can definitely empathize with the staff being overwhelmed. But holy smokes, having a single person in the greeter/salad/to-go boxing role is woefully inefficient, especially on a Saturday night. Food was thrown together, not a clean table in the place, and the utensil area was wiped out. I've been to a few Zupas around the valley, this is definitely the worst I've been to. And when you're spending $40+ for a family to eat, this is not the experience you want.
I've been going here for years but lately it's definitely not like it use to be. Tonight my sandwich was horrible. I placed an order for pick up. Ordered the chicken enchilada chili which was good but would have been better if they gave me the tortilla chips I requested. The Cuban grilled pork sandwich on the other hand, the bread was hard as a rock and there was nothing on it. No dressing, cheese, pickles or red peppers and the meat was horribly dry. I think I'll be going elsewhere for a while. Hopefully they can get it together.
Used to like this place a lot. Lately the food taste is not consistent and the dining area is not clean most of the time. Assuming that has to do with people shortage but for now I would recommend taking take-out rather than dining in.
Second time Zupas has delivered undesirable food. The pictures below show what they delivered for their “Chickpea and Vegetable Soup”. What is seen on the right on the soup container lid is THE single chickpea in the entire cup. The two pictures to the left show broccolini soup - not vegetable soup. The first time we ordered from here, I ordered a salad with steak. There were two very small pieces of steak on a very overdressed salad.Done with this place. Can’t even get a soup or salad right. Ugh!
