Mediocre and stingy on protein portions.I said I have a soy allergy, can you check on the soups...They never came back. I asked and they said all soups probably have it. That is inexcusable..the manager should have come out with their book of all restaurant items as it was not very busy. I ended up ordering a cobb salad and there was edamame in it. That is soy laden!
This location is one of my favorites for a healthy and delicious lunch. They have a great selection of flavorful soups and tasty sandwiches. They change the menu seasonally and everything including the soups is scratch made in house with fresh ingredients and locally sourced when available. The desserts look very tempting.
Soups, Salads, and Sandwiches. Decent Variety and you can create your own salads or sandwiches.Price is reasonable. I got the Try 2 Combo—Roasted Red Pepper and Lobster Soup and Avocado Chop Salads— everything was fresh and tasted decent.Team working definitely needs good coaching/training. They didn’t even know what salads or soups belonged to each customer as we got to the pickup and pay spot. It will also be extremely helpful to have a description of each salad with the ingredients listed on the menu boards! I had to ask which holds up the process! Restaurant design leaves much to be desired.. very tight and hard to navigate. Only a few seats in the front. Back is dark and looks like a cafeteria. Hard to get to the drinks, utensils, napkins or even see them as they’re on the inside of a wall that faces the back room. It’ll do in a pinch.Good location and plenty of parking as it’s in a strip center with a lot of stores!
Food is good typically although I had a green chili potato soup bowl today that had two potatoes in it cause the worker skimmed the top of the soup. Seems like they should know better with any soup that has stuff in it that sinks to the bottom. That’s not really the reason for the review though. This place is always just filthy. It seems they have plenty of staff but none of them clean the tables or booths and dishes always pile up. I rarely eat in the restaurant cause if this. Especially during lunch I would think they would have just one person constantly cleaning.
This is the third time I have ordered soup at Cafe Zupa's and it will be the last time. I was giving them the three strikes you're out and they did it! I paid for a large soup 1 1/2 ladles and knew when she skimmed if off the top it would be all broth...and it was just like the last two times. CAN'T you stir the soup THEN put it in the bowl? Wish I was the last person of the day they would have all the meat and vegetables!! Maybe the staff does it on purpose so they can take home all the good stuff! Also, if you go bring a pillow! You will probably be there until breakfast they are soooooo slow, my broth was cold when I did finally get it!
It would be nice if the employees would stop arguing with each other and make my food that I already paid for! ???All I ordered was a sandwich and a soup and I’ve been here waiting for 20 minutes. The restaurant is empty and there are 5 employees behind the counter. ?They won’t even make eye contact with me because they are so focused on cleaning and wiping out the ovens. ☹️
I love cafe zupas !! This one is in an excellent spot of the valley !! If you are coming to the mall to shop around I defiantly recommend it !! I got a Cobb salad with blue cheese and I LOVED it !! They even have a station to charge your phones !! And they offer soups, sandwiches and protein bowls !! Also their bathrooms are always clean !! The staff is friendly and I love the Strawberries they give you with every meal !!If you have enough space I defiantly recommend one of their deserts !!
If it says you guys close at 10 you should probably keep everything available until then. I went in at about 9:35 just got off work. I wanted a quick healthy meal to go half soup half salad. However Everyone ignored me foe like 10 minutes, until the woman at the register came to attend me. All the salad was put away they all had nasty attitudes. The other person at the register kept the same gloves on they uses to touch the the register to grab my bread and went to the back and took his time. Finally they came back and charged my order. I love the food here, but the service made it such a horrible experience. I work as a restaurant businesses consultant and I get night shifts at restaurants, so I get that you want to go home. But honestly don't work the night shift if you can't handle properly running a shift until your advertised closing time. Even the woman behind experienced the same thing... Such a disappointment. food gave me a stomach ache on top of everything. Sorry boss buy don't let your employees run your business down..
Best sandwiches around, great soup, amazing salad, had the california Cobb salad, bbq pulled pork and a grilled cheese w/pesto and one of the chili soups (forget the name) but it was all amazing! Lots of seating and service was insanely fast too for how much my friend and I ordered! They gave us complimentary chocolate covered strawberries too! Will definitely be visiting again!
I love Zupas. I am a creature of habit and nearly always get Lobster Bisque and the Nuts and Berries salad. I opted for just the salad since it didn't feel like soup season in Phoenix. I was pleasantly surprised with how many berries and nuts were on my salad - at least double of what I get at Utah locations! The large salad along with the roll and the chocolate dipped strawberry was a perfect meal. I'm so glad Zupas exists in Phoenix. Now to get Utah to up their game!
