This is an update: to m y previous reviews SO You have to pick your times and try to avoid the heavy weekend feature events. Not a fan here but if you like that then great. Weekdays and off days and evenings Arte the best vibe for what I like to do. I remember being here for weekday lunches but Uptown has changed their hours. Alex behind the bar is a great server and bartender makes you feel like a regular every day almost like the "Cheers.Theme Busy weekend times Not my thing .Pick your times and youll have a great time . Food is superior to most bars or "pub" food
Came to watch the U of A game. We ordered food and it took over two hours to get to the table. Some of us did not even receive food at all that was ordered. The food was all incorrect as soon as it came to the table as well. We tried to send it back and they said it would be another hour before we would get the correction. I felt so bad for our waitress Morgan who seemed to be handling the whole restaurant. The management totally failed all of the staff that was working tonight. We will most likely not be going back to this place.
Let me begin by saying myself, colleagues and friends have visited this location a number of times and have had pleasant experiences, however.... today was slightly different.After leaving Urban Wax I stopped in for drinks and to grab a bite to eat around 7:15p. I was the 1st to arrive in my party of 2 and ordered a drink while waiting for my guest to arrive. My server, brought the drink and asked me for a card to open a tab. I asked her when did the establishment start requesting cards up front, because I frequent the place and had never been asked to provide a card before closing out my tab. Server stated that this was "company's policy that was now being heavily enforced due to people skipping out on their bills". So I provided my card.My guest joined me around 8p. As the night went on, I intentionally watched our server and other servers wait on other customers and not one time asking for them to provide their card upfront. So, I mentioned it my guest and he stopped another server, and asked her what was the company's policy on requesting cards before the bill and she stated "there is no policy that we HAVE to do that, it's the servers discretion". So we thanked her and she walked away. She stopped and spoke to who I believe was the shift manager and our server, then shortly after she came back to our table and stated "apparently it is our policy, I didn't know that" and walked away.She had just given another table of patrons their drinks and took their food order but STILL did not ask them to provide a card, even after alleging to us that this is in fact your company policy.Had this been a consistent request of all patrons, or even consistently done with our servers other tables, there would be no issue, however this is not the case. Myself and my guest were the only black patrons that I noticed in the outdoor space the entire 2.5hrs we were there and the only one's to be asked to provide a card up front. As a result, this was an insult and made me feel as if I were being racially profiled, unfairly targeted and/or a victim of implicit bias. Whichever the case, I implore you to educate your staff on these issues in an effort to provide a fair and consistent environment for ALL patrons.
My favorite spot to go for round of drinks and a small bite to eat to start the night out. Cold beers ? and fresh lime... Service is always great haven't had an issue yet. Oh and the music there is everything because everyone loves the throwbacks, THANKS to the DJ.
Awesome vibe, clean, and friendly, but really bland food. Disappointing brunch.
We had the Saturday brunch on the porch today, and the quantity and quality of the food were a pleasant surprise. Service: Savanha (yes, that's the spelling, I believe) was fun and charming.
Food was trash and over priced. Server had no clue about who was drinking what at the table. We were overcharged. The drinks that were made seemed like they had no idea what the hell they were making. Plus the beer was not cold. Never will I go to this spot again.
$800 dlrs I pay for a bad sperience. When you spend that much money you will asume you will get a good custumer service. Or just Fair custumer service. Waitres was not profecional. We got a service bottle and we waited after 15 min so she can served us a re-fill. Is like we pay for the bottle so it can be sitting In our table. We asked for the manager Because literly I was looking for the waitres at the bar and around so she can serve us. It was a bummer Because I was looking fordward to have a great time In my sister bday.
Food and drink were okay however its rating went down as I had the worst server I have ever had in any restaurant. She barely came to the table I saw the bust boy and other servers on the floor more than her, when I did see her she was on her phone then I asked for our check after almost 15 mins of waiting I had to go up front to ask the hostess for it again. I understand you get busy but working in the service industry myself before acknowledge and communication is important.
