I was totally happy with my experience at Baja Fresh, the food was ready really quick and tasted great! The staff was friendly and nice and the restaurant was clean and appeared to be well maintained. The queso wasn’t my favorite ever but I think that was more about my taste than the way it was prepared - I did appreciate that you could buy a queso serving for one!
I just went in to Baja Fresh and usually go in every week. When I arrived, I was told they were not taking orders until 12pm. It is 11:27a. No explanation was offered and there are already people eating inside. I would understand if they said their system was down, but I was just told I couldn't order.

I walked through the door at 8:42 and they told me I couldn’t place an order because they trying to close. I asked what time do you close and he said 9. They were making an order by the way. I hate when restaurants won’t serve customers because they trying to go home. You serve customers until the time you post which in this case is 9. I am a loyal customer and been coming here since they opened. It’s ok because of this I will not return. It’s crazy because the owner is a very nice guy.
Love the shrimp and avocado tacos on taco Tuesday, yummy ? and customer service is always excellent! They always take time for my special orders and make sure they are accurate!
We used to really loved Baja Fresh because they had a Salsa Bar and real plastic cups with lids on them. Not anymore. Service great, but the food wasn't what it used to be when we lived in Phoenix.

I haven't been to a Baja Fresh in years. After this experience it will be several more years if ever again. Although store was very clean, staff seemed bored and blissless. Several employees walked around aimlessly with a zombie like shuffle while I stood at the register hoping someone would take my order. When someone finally stepped up and asked if I needed help I placed my order with ease. My food came out as I ordered and it looked good. I only wish I didn't have beg for salsa that I felt I had to pry from the employees hoarding the salsas behind the counter. All in all the food was mediocre, the service was severly lacking and I will not be returning.
Some of the worst Mexican food you can find in Phoenix. The inside of the restaurant smells like sewage, pico de gallo is old and disgusting, tacos under filled and bland. Paid extra for mango salsa which was not included with the order.
