Amazing food and fantastic atmosphere! The attention to detail in this restaurant is phenomenal and the staff is very friendly!
Fantastic Ethiopian food. Friendly service and the food is full of flavor and delicious. Their injera bread is ridiculously good. I love their cabbage/carrots (Tikel gomen) and their spicy beef (sega wot key). The lentil sambusa is also fantastic!
This is the most unassuming place ever from the outside! Once you go in you’re transported to Ethiopia through the thoughtful decor. They have these beautifully hand carved chairs in the middle, quite a few booths and some high top tables. I had a Sambusa Yemser (lentils) for an app and the Meser Wot and Yesuf Fit Fit. The food was amazing and super affordable. It’s served on a traditional Injera (Ethiopian spongy pancake). You use the Injera to dip into the dishes and eat the traditional way without utensils. The staff was incredibly attentive and were super friendly. I’ll definitely be back!PRO TIP- huge parking lot and entrance via the back.
Excellent food. We waited an hour and a half to get the food but it was well worth it. We ordered the vegetable and meat platter.
First, it's beautiful. The inside is covered in Madagascar wood panels. Full of Ethiopian baskets and romantic lighting. Would be great for a first date. Secondly, the food is amazing. Seasoning masters! Had the kitfo, which was a bit spicy, but delicious and fresh. The injera is moist. The baklava was a mouthgasm. The only downsides were that the pop had no carbonation at all and they had run out of some things. It also took awhile to get our food, but it didn't impact us enough to remove a star. Waiting for a long time and running out of ingredients, while not ideal, means they are making everything fresh, which is a quality most do not have now. I will be back.
I've been to Ethiopian restaurants in New York, New Jersey, Washington DC and Cape Town. This is definitely in the top three. Everything is prepared fresh the taro root Injera is excellent. The Kitfa was excellent quality. It's hard to say what my favorite is but don't mess the cabbage with carrots, lentils, yellow peas, and collard greens.
Excellent Ethiopian food. The kitfo was the best I've had. All the other food shared by our party was delicious. Major renovation, sweet ambience.
I will be returning. A tried the sampler and each sample was delicious. Variety of meats and vegan friendly options. The spices and flavors are amazing. Quantity and service were excellent with a good value. I will be back!
OMG we are so happy you are here! We really enjoyed our meal and are really looking forward to coming back in, which we plan to do frequently! The service was great, the food was amazing, perfect for a Valentine's date night.
A little short staffed on a busy day like a Sunday afternoon but be patient with them. It is worth the wait. The food comes out aromatic, fresh, and healthy. One of the best Ethiopian places around…I have tried several and this one gets repeat visits over many of the other ones in Phoenix.
