I forgot about this music venue because it’s outside and hey, it’s Phoenix. But at the right time of year - or with the right attitude — it’s a great spot to see national acts.The sound is crisp and clear; there’s a roof with fans overhead to keep the sun away.The drinks are expensive but there are a ton of options from Four Peaks Brewing to mixed drinks to the biggest margaritas and other frozen drinks I’ve ever seen.The parking and restrooms are plentiful.A great night!
I have always had a great time when I've attended concerts here. The bathrooms are clean. The lines are pretty quick for Drinks and Food. I've been in the Pit and the Lawn and have always had a blast. Depending on the concert, getting out of the parking lot can take some time.
Great venue. Sat in the grassy section and rented a lawn chair for just $10. Acoustic and visuals were on point. All the singers did well and Train was top notch; fun band who put on a great show!
Only our second time here, but another fantastic show! Our seats were along the aisle (section 201, row WW, seats 45&46) and perfect for us. We still felt the above fans, thanks goodness! We saw Loverboy, Styx, and REO Speedwagon. :) Honestly, when REO got to stage not sure what happened. But suddenly the music was screeching so loudly you could barely understand what they were singing. We actually left early due to that. Otherwise, nice venue.
Great venue! Parking was surprisingly easy. There were plenty of food and drink places (although pricey). The facilities were clean for a concert venue. Leaving the parking lot took a while, but it was well coordinated and lines moved fairly quickly. They do have a clear bag policy so keep that in mind.
I attended this venue for two concerts, and both shows were incredible! The stage could be seen well from most seats even if they were in the back rows, and there seemed to be many options for entrees and drinks. This review is bumped down, however, because when attending a concert with rain surrounding the venue, me and other fans were left to stand outside the venue for two hours with little updates on why we were waiting and no updates as to how long the wait would continue. Overall, the quality of the shows is what earns this venue a good review and I would attend an event here again.
I attended the Halsey concert on June 26. Due to severe weather, doors were postponed. We were instructed to stay in our cars until further notice. I'm not sure what those who were dropped off ended up having to do, I'm not aware of a shelter provided.In order to stay informed of updates, we took to this venue's social media where concert goers were able to update eachother and communicate because the venue was not doing a very good job at doing it themselves. The venue promptly blocked all comments from being made on their social media. This left everyone feeling isolated, confused and once again in the dark. I'm not sure why communication was cut off but it could have been mitigated if Ak-Chin Pavilion would have communicated better. We were left in our cars for more than an hour at one point with no updates. Doors opened two hours late and the openers were cut.Once doors were opened, everything was handled very well. The venue was nice with plenty of concessions. It was confusing to find the entrances to individual seating sections because there were so many people swarming and no clear signs or notices as to where each section was located.

Other than having to throw out my sunscreen and soda being cheaper then water on a day where it was excessive heat warning... everything was great. The seats were fantastic on the lawn! I loved it. The Backstreet Boys were great.
Went to the Steely Dan/Snarky Puppy concert. The vibe and sunset were awesome at this amphitheater. Great venue! More intimate than an arena. Recommend!
