I went in for an iced tea today, and the lady that was taking orders for the iced teas was so rude and unprofessional. I told her my order: large, mango, orange slice and 50% sweet. She comes back with no orange slice, so I asked, “can I get an orange slice?” And she said, “ why didn’t you ask for it earlier” and I said, “actually I did” and this lady is standing there full blown arguing with me about how I never asked for an orange slice. I wish I could of gotten her name but it was a black lady with curly, brown ish, orange hair. AJs please stop hiring unpleasant people like her. Our community is going to be ruined if it starts to get saturated with people of her attitude.
Very disappointed with this AJs location. I came in Tuesday 4/12 to order a cake for my wife’s birthday 4/14. Filled the form, ordered it and came back Thursday 4/14 but they didn’t have the cake. 30 minutes later find out They just didn’t prepare it. I appreciate them giving me a different cake for free but at the end of the day it’s slim pickings for the cakes no one wanted. Plus it didn’t come out very nice. I come often but unfortunately can’t rely on them for future events.
Manager Karen was extremely rude to me when I asked a question (makes sense why her name is Karen). Absolutely horrible customer service. Barely even looked me in the eye. Don’t bother wasting your time here.
AJs never disappoints. We like them for made to order sandwiches which are huge and priced reasonably, or to pick up a dinner or an item from the cheeses or the bakery, not to mention the wines and beers in stock. Every trip to Scottsdale includes a couple of stops for items in this gourmet grocery/deli.

The store is clean and the presentation is really beautiful but they are overpriced and don’t offer much variety. The lines for deli iced tea/bagels is long which would be acceptable if they had enough people working the counter.
I have to give a shout out to Julie, the checker at the Camelback Rd & Central ave AJ'si witnessed her check out a customer who then walked out without his burrito. Julie grabbed it and literally ran outside to chase him down to give it to him. Truly putting the customer in mind. This is a good store, and she is a quality employee. Shout out to Julie.
Hands down my favorite excuse to spend money! The staff is absolutely rigid in great customer service. The bakery is an endless selection of wonderful yummy yum with a fantastic variety. The bistro, my stars, the food they put out is simply superb.
