Love the energy of this place and the staff are always friendly and amazing! The food is delicious and I love the Margherita pizza ? I highly recommend this place to others any chance I get. :) The tiramisu is a fave dessert of mine as well when I come here. I'm sure you can tell as I CLEANED THE PLATE and doodled a little heart in the powder topping ;)
Sicilian Butcher has delicious food and drinks, as well as friendly service! We had the fried burrata for an appetizer which was so good! Two thumbs up for the mule as well. The meatballs and sauces are a big hit! If we had room, there were plenty of Italian desserts and gelato flavors to choose from. This is definitely a great place for a more relaxed Italian dining experience.
This restaurant is classy and the menu is worth every penny. But I'm torn.I've been here a total of three times. Two times were just fantastic. Loved it. The last time...not so much. The first two times we got chef boards and sandwiches and pizza and drinks and everything just killed! Even the kids loved everything.Seriously, all of the sandwiches are awesome. I'd eat one every day if I had a way to make them zero calories. The gigantic meatball. Epic! The Italiantiki and Italiano are amazing. The Vespa is fun.The bread with oil...a favorite. It's grilled and made with love. That was the first two visits. This last visit....Caesar Salad. Steak meatballs with Bolognese and pappardelle. Both were big misses for us.The Caesar salad, which came to us first as the wrong salad (shown in the photos, we didn't get a pic of the correct salad), needed to be sent back. When we got it... Just underwhelming. Looked nice. But just meh. Not dressed enough? There was a ton of it though. So you won't be hungry for awhile after. The steak meatballs, Bolognese, pappardelle. The meatballs were killer. And that's where it went south. The pappardelle was essentially a clump of stuck mess under the sauce and meatballs. Like when you cook lasagna sheets and let them hang out together in the colander. It becomes a conglomeration of starch. Then the sauce. It tasted rushed. I could taste the sweetness of the mirepoix over what should be the richness of the meat and whatever reduction the cooks decide to use in their recipe. I didn't get that. It was just thin flavored with a lack of seasoning and care. It was more sweet then anything. It certainly didn't make me want to keep diving in like most of the food on the menu. It was also dry. Very dry. Like spackle. You can see it in the photos. This place to me is 4.8 stars. I can't give a 4.8, so it has to be a 4. We like this place a lot. There are going to be misses, however, this restaurant has more hits than misses.
Nice first experience. I have to say the flavors of some meatballs and sauces were not to our liking, especially the lamb meatball with nutmeg. I wasn't ready to eat an eggnog meatball, but that's just me. Everything was perfectly cooked, and presented well. Bread and beet salad with figs was excelent. Very clean, friendly staff, nice easy menu. Random thought- some of our plates were huge, like the salad plate. Nice amount of food but I wouldn't have missed some of it if it were smaller and fit on a smaller plate. Could be a fun resturant to take friends to.
When the Elites descended upon the Sicilian Butcher, we were quickly ushered to a table capable of seating a dozen diners. It was quite perfect for our group.Bae and I may not have ordered the best entrees, but we believe a return trip will remedy our initial experience. The manager was very friendly, and even bestowed the nickname "The Bear" upon me, and let me know that the kitchen staff was very much enjoying the wolf hat I was wearing. This left me wondering if my moniker was due to my headpiece or to the fact that I'm roughly the size of a mother grizzly ;)
I had high hopes. Fresh made bread, fresh made pasta, fresh made sauces, what more could you ask for. Our server Lisa reminded us so much of our neighbor’s little Italian grandmother it was uncanny. My wife the filet meatball sandwich with steak fries. She said the meatballs were good and the steak fries were just ordinary steak fries. I had pasta and meatballs. I also thought the meatballs were good and pasta was lacking. Seating was very crowded and not all that comfortable. The gelato and cannoli stations looked really good, but we were too full to try.
Such a great place to try new things. You must have the flaming cheese!
Enjoyed the open bar to the outside. Weather was perfect. We sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. Our dishes came straight from the oven. The bartender offered fresh grated cheese for our dish. We took home leftovers because the portions were a lot.
We had a wonderful family dinner out on the patio. It was cool outside, but they turned the heater up, and it was comfortable. The pasta and meatballs were very good. The desserts are wonderful. They melt in your mouth. Overall, it was a great night. I would recommend this restaurant!
Loved this place! Start with the Italian Saganaki! Mmmm! The meatballs are moist and full of flavor and go well with just about any sauce & pasta!Next door (can enter from the restaurant, too) is The Sicilian Baker ... get your pastries, Cannoli and Gelato there!
