Small portions and expensive. I live right around the corner from this place and I love these style of restaurants so naturally I go here often. Like once, twice a week often. When I first started going here it was the BEST! It was a little pricey, but portions were good and food tastes great. As of lately the prices remain more expensive than other places around here, however If I order a carne asada burrito its often the size of a taco bell burrito.
Man this place has gone down hill and quick. Used to be my go to place. Too stingy w their food portions now and prices have gone way up. Doesn’t even taste the same lower quality food higher prices. That is a recipe for disaster.
Last night I had the #22 - chicken chimichanga with rice & beans, and it was SO good! Not greasy, and still hot by the time I got home. The prices are good, and you will not be hungry later.
Updating my previous review which was 5 stars. My family and I have been going to Herrera's Mexican Food for years. Lately the service has been poor and the prices are becoming outrageous. A couple examples:1) Went there last week, paid with a card so I pay the .70 cent fee, which is an annoyance but I'm becoming accustomed to it. The issue was the employee got my order wrong and I had to pay separately for an item she forgot to ring up. They refused to waive the card fee, and when I suggested taking .70 cents off the price of the item she agreed (so it would even out) however looking at both receipts after I paid she did not.2) We typically order the same thing every time we go there, however this week I ended up paying $5 more than last week which they state are price increases, however looking at the menu it was not updated but the new prices were on the receipts. Not right! Please notify your customers of changes proactively! Not to mention when asking for salsa the employees are beginning to act like the cost is coming from their own pockets... if I pay more than $30 for some food I would like to get more than 2 salsas.I hope the owner and managers take this feedback seriously, because I really enjoy(ed) visiting this establishment.
Food is good but their pricing is kinda a lot for the same burrito you can get else where cheaper. For example Basic carne asada burrito comes with Asada pico beans and guacamole if you try and substitute the guacamole for sour cream they would charge you 1.50 for the sour cream when I tried and ask them why the only explanation was because they had to I asked well how much is a side of guacamole “1.50” ok and how much is a side of sour cream “1.50” . A dollar doesn’t make or break me but I don’t understand the pricing and the rude response
Ordered 3 bean, rice, and cheese burritos. They charged me almost $27. They don’t list the price on the menu so it was a surprise to get slapped with that bill.
So goodThe rice and beans were amazingWhen they say there’s pico on the street taco it mean onion and cilantro only ! So worth the money this place is amazing.
Best place to get nachos. They recently changed how they do their green salsa and I wanted to hate it hut it's actually really good just not typical green salsa. They prices are higher than other places but it's worth it
My experience there was horrible! I expected really good food with the amount of money I paid for, and possibly good customer service. When I ordered my food, I asked for all the condiments on the side, but didn't expect my meat to be a side too! So because of that they gave me a little bit of meat for my super nachos, ans MORE chips. Of course I wasn't happy or satisfied with that so I turned around and asked politely if I can get just a little bit more meat to satisfy my money's worth. When I pulled up to the drive-through, the old employee, the guy, was very rude! First by not listening to what I had to say, or understanding my situation, making it seem like I'm asking for sooo much, all I asked and wanted at this point was to get accommodated for a little more meat. LOL. He kept telling he can't do anything and I was wasting my time. And their procedures on how things work out "for them" and not the customer. Then I asked for his "boss". Even his boss told him to just give me my money back. All that talk for nothing when he could of just offered that option instead. At this pointless stage just I took that offer, but then he tried to have me give all my food back, I WAS LIKE WHAT? I only want what I complained about. Haha, no way. At the end all that drama for some meat just lose a potential customer and to lose money ?. Crazy. All they had to do was accommodate for a customer. ??♀️I would been back. Overall the employee was really rude and customer service was not satisfactory for my time and money. Try and complain to them and see what happens.
Went through the drive thru and ordered chips and guacamole, 5 rolled tacos and a bacon, egg and cheese burrito. The total was $23.00 q little high if you ask me. When we got home everything looked good until my second rolled tacos. It tasted like something had gone bad. Like rotten cheese. I spit it out and was done with those. I ate a few chips with cheese and guacamole on them, but after the tacos I was pretty much over it. My husband ate half his burrito and said he didn't much care for it. Within 3 hours we were both sick to our stomachs. This us the second time in 2 weeks we have received bad food from here. I only went back a second time because the food use to be really good and reasonably priced. The time before I had also gotten the rolled tacos. Got to the third and it had something burnt stuck to the bottom. It looked like they had refried a old batch, put them in upside down and covered them with new cheese and guacamole. Tried all day to get management on the phone to no avail. I am definitely never going back and would like a refund for the round of food poisoning they served us.
