The food is good however the portions are kind of small. We made the mistake of ordering our food to be dine in, and as we later found out they serve you to food on a plate and your side dishes are half the size they would be if you took the food to go. The wings have almost no meat on them and the thighs are much smaller than any other company that I know of but the food definitely tastes good there just needs to be more of it. If we weren't using coupons that were providing a decent discount it would not be worth going there at all. It seems to take them forever to put your food on a plate and hand it to you I think it took them about 3 minutes to put the chicken on a plate and then it sat there for another three or four minutes and they finally decided to scoop a side onto the plate, but I guess there was some glitch finding the second salad for our meal so it all set there for another minute or two getting cold while they found a salad. It even took forever to place the order at the beginning even though there was nobody in line whatsoever the people were just running around. There is basically one guy taking the orders and filling the orders and three other employees basically watching him do his work. It was very frustrating because what should have been a minute and a half process took almost 15 minutes just to get our food from the time we walked in the restaurant.
I had the quaso Blanco burrito today & it was fabulous. Hot, tasty, prepared quickly & just enough to fill me up. Got the mild salsa but did not need it. Chips & salsa were great treat later. Superb unsweetened ice tea & plenty of napkins. I did not go inside but drive up was incredible service with a very nice person giving me hot food & a cold drink. I will drive out of my way to have their food again!
I love El Pollo Loco ! Chicken Avocado burrito with avocado salsa is the bomb wish we had one up in Prescott so it's my go to when I go to Phoenix

It’s the worst place and getting worse and worse. It’s ridiculous I have to pay almost $10 for a little salad. If it was up to me I’ll give them zero star.
Enjoy El Pollo! First place we ate at when we moved here seven years ago. Go pretty much every week. Even works well with keto. However wish they would bring back their cauliflower rice.

As of 12/28/21 dining room not open.Food was good, as always with El Pollo Loco. My queso blanco burrito was filling and tasted great, mirroring the experience of my other party members.Drive thru was quick, efficient. Star off for missed items on large order, which were received on the 2nd go around painlessly.
The food here is sometimes amazing and sometimes bland. Same with the salsa, at times its watery and other times amazing. I wish it were consistent because I love their food. Also the dining room is closed a lot in the evenings lately. Not sure why.
Busy drive through moved very quickly. Food was good!
