My food was cold even though it wasn't ready when I went to pick it up. My chimichaga was soggy and falling apart. They barely gave me any beans or rice. First time I ever had issues at this place and it was the worst.
My taste buds have been very grateful to Carolina's Mexican Food. This establishment has been a valley favorite for over 50 yrs. They have been awarded numerous awards from the New Times which is voted by us Arizonians. The home made tortillas are a purchase necessity. If you purchase it at the restaurant its served with melted butter which makes this treat more irresistibly delicious ?. Carolina's has a very diverse customer clientele probably because there is something on the menu for everyone. Also they don't mind if a substitution is requested. This mother's day was especially busy due to the fact all their locations are closed on Sunday. As you wait for your order to be called you will notice all the pick up orders and party trays that people have requested. I definitely recommend this local favorite for Mexican food. 10/10
Chips and salsa is great. Especially the green salsa.The menu looks really appealing , and the customer service is a 7/10 .Food portions ate rather small but everything is packed with flavor. I recommend this spot for a quick pit-stop for lunch only if you passing by.
Huge disappointment! We waited for 24 minutes for our order only to be told they were out of the corn tamales. We finally got our food close to 30 minutes after we ordered. The food tasted like frozen dinners. The enchilada and tamale were so small for the price. My husband had red chili and it was barely warm. We decided the best part of our meal was the chips and salsa.So many people were waiting for so long and we saw 2 people come back in because there was an issue with their to-go orders.
Beans way too salty. Enchiladas bland & taste as if it was wrapped 2 minutes before being served with a barely cooked shell. Horrible food & nothing. Like it used to be 15 years ago! Highly overpriced as well.
The chicken tacos are amazing! I always over purchase and have them as leftovers. Burritos are great, beans and rice are yummy. We always order and take home. They do have seating.
Consistently GREAT!!! Above average food and service -- reasonable prices! Always busy at dinner time -- call ahead for pickup unless you're going to eat there. Skip the other fast food places ~ the food is superior!
We got a red chili and green chili burrito there OK I think Filiberto’s better
Wasn't what I expected but I wasn't disappointed, which you never really can be with Mexican food.! Well done, add some sopes to the menu and I'll give u 5 for what you are!
Food portions were small, service was awful and slow. Hand made tortillas are probably good, but ours were either charred or under cooked. Place came highly recommended by the locals and was busy, but we weren't impressed at all.
