Food was really good, drinks were weak. Wasn't busy, walked in at 630 and was seated immediately. Service was slow. Someone ordered another drink, took to long, we were down with our food, so we canceled the drink order
Malcolm was an excellent server. Seems like a great young man. He was knowledgeable about the menu, prompt, efficient, and conscience about tidying up.It's been years since I've eaten in an Applebee's. Got a $10 gift card at Easter and decided to wipe that out. Glad they still serve the Fiesta Lime Chicken that I used to enjoy. Still good for the price. I missed that it didn't (no longer?) comes with veggies or I would have ordered a side. Maybe less rice substituted with veggies?Overall, I ate good in the neighborhood. ?
I usually give this place 10/10 but tonight not so much. Usually the servers are very attentive and food is great. Walked in and it was pretty dark, it is late came at 10 pm which okay understandable but usually it’s loud and fun. Our server the bartender was just kind of bland. We ordered the new brew fries or whatever and we asked for extra bacon, got hardly any bacon, the server asked how things were I said they were okay and he didn’t respond. Not looking for much but definitely looking for more than silence when I said things were just okay. The most we got from our server was when we asked for the check, then he was right there, asked to take our plates and pretty much made us feel as if he just wanted us out. We got here at 10, we’re leaving by 10:30… I get people want to close up and get out, all we ordered was a drink and an appetizer. We weren’t looking to be here long but I have never felt more rushed
The burger my husband had had no flavors. Was like a frozen burger with no seasoning. My Chinese chicken salad was very good. Our service and bartender was awesome.
Lots of parking available . Large strip mall so parking lot is large . Many of the entrees are served with garlic mashed potatoes that look very good in the menu but choosing to go low carb , so from the sides , one can ordered broccoli or string beans. However , both are cooked with butter and green beans seasoned with parmesan cheese. VERY GOOD! side salad also another option . Each entree shows calories. I appreciated our server , Patricia S, who asked me to cut into my steak before she left the table for me to approve the doneness of the steak. It was too rare for me , I ordered medium thinking it would be pink inside , but it was red . She also brought a chart that showed what rare, medium , well done etc would look like. Things have changed ! She took it back to be cooked to medium well, ... Returned and it was cooked too much, but I ate it, didn't complain, was hungry , and it was still tender . My husband's meal Bacon cheddar grilled chicken sandwich on Brioche bun with fries was VERY GOOD . We arrived and was seated immediately. Lots of tables available. Everyone friendly.
The food was somewhat edible with my wife refusing to eat more after a few bites. Food tastes like microwaved leftovers and either comes out cold or undercooked. One person in our party enjoyed their meal so I gave it an extra star for them. Waiter brought up money multiple times by saying things like "The more you order the more I make" and "I get paid either way". Made me want to tip less but I understand the broken tipping system we have in this country. Won't come back here again.
Just a heads up on dessert, you get half the amount for a higher price on the triple chocolate cake. If you get the brownie, two people can share.
Not very busy at lunch time. Restaurant was very clean, and the staff very friendly. We both ordered the ribs and they were delicious ?. Had to take some home. Mask are not required and they do sanitize al the tables.
Our server Derek made this a very enjoyable experience. Super attentive, polite, and professional. It's the small things that can take your dining experience over the top. For example, my Mom ordered mashed potatoes. We asked our AWESOME server to bring butter for her potatoes. Since her mashed potatoes were not warm anymore I assumed the butter would come individually wrapped and cold so I would have to put it under my Chicken Quesadilla to soften it. Much to our surprise, Derek brought a side of butter... WARMED!!! This alone bumped his tip from 20% to 75%! This Applebees is very fortunate to have Derek. When we return we will ALWAYS ask to be seated in his section!!❤❤❤A++++++
Honestly, we weren’t expecting it to be good. Not at all. But the food was…really good. The poor waitress looked like she was spread thin and the wait time was super bad but I feel like they were maybe understaffed. I live in Texas and our Applebees closed down post-Covid and we were just desperate for food…and pleasantly surprised. Drinks were also really good. We’d probably eat here again on this trip.
