2nd time dining in and must say it was way more pleasant than the first visit. Cook was awesome and hilarious. Enviroment was great defitently was the awesome crowd at the table. Only down fall was the rudeness from the server when asking for no onions. Also disappointed about the $3 up charge for requesting no onions, you will be charged even if your simply allergic/ or just a preference
I love these cooking tables! They’re always fun and very large portions!
Ah-So Sushi is one of my favorite restaurants. I love their sushi and the Teppanyaki grill experience. We always sit at the bar while waiting for a table which is nice and helps the time go by. The chefs are entertaining and the food is delicious!
I think her name was Violet .I ordered the edamame and cucumber salad and ordered a veggie sushi roll to take home .Service took awhile BUT the service was good AND they let me sit at the bar and park my bike outside at an open door ... and served me with kindness .i gave them a $10 tip for lunch .
It's closest when craving teppanyaki but if you want a really good experience and good size portions worth the price and less crowding, especially dividers during this pandemic for you and your party I would high recommend Kasai in Scottsdale. Back to this place, it's pretty good, the portions could be a bit more, less messy, a few Cooks left food everywhere or did not engage more because that's the best part when they put on a show. This place gets very busy on weekends and more so during the night, it's always good to go during the day, you won't be rushed to eat up and leave. During the busy times you will.
Let me start by saying our server was very nice. Our drinks were served, we ordered appetizers, and then our food. The calamari strips and egg rolls taste like they came straight from the freezer. Then we waited for an additional 30 minutes for our food after our appetizers were finished. I ordered shrimp, scallops, and lobster. They were so over cooked, the lobster tasted like chicken and the rice and vegetables were cold. The manager did not come and speak with us about our experience at all. We will not be going back and I will not recommend this place to any one else. It was a very horrible first time experience.
Waited for 2 hours on a Sunday night when it wasn't even busy, and still never got a chef to our table. I can understand and have patience for labor shortages but I do expect some communication. We were told 45 minutes and we ended up walking out from our table after 2 hours. The manager was full of excuses and didn't take any responsibility. The bartender however was so attentive, so friendly and kept checking on things for us. She was the only good part of the night.
Great food, chef is always funny. Have been coming to eat for years. Heavenly shrimp rolls are amazing.
Food was delcious. Whole family had a great time.
I love this place.. What’s sad is I came in with my little family of 3. At about 5:50 and was told that it would be a 15-20 min wait to get seated for teppanyaki. As we wait we continue to see people coming in and getting seated who came in after we did. A 20 minute wait turned into a 45-50 min wait until we were told we were “forgotten about” . After watching the 6’2 lady with glasses behind the counter seat multiple people at the teppanyaki tables we decided to leave. I’m super disappointed and will never come back here again.
