Great food and atmosphere. They do not have a patio, FYI. But theindoor atrium makes up for that. We went for lunch on a Sunday around 12:30 and there was a short wait of maybe 5-10 min (party of 4). Note that their lunch specials are only valid Mon-Fri, not on weekends. I got the Reynosa Salad with shredded chicken - it was absolutely delicious and I'll order it again. (See pic). Waitress was friendly and attentive. Staff did not wear masks, which is ok with me, just wanted to mention if that's a concern for someone else reading this review.

My favorite place for fajitas. The service was average and could have been better but still very delicious. I wish they weren't so skimpy with their bowls of chips. I do like how their chips aren't so heavily salted like other restaurants. One thing is for sure I always leave satisfied here when it comes to the portions.
First time visit. The place looks beautiful and the prices weren't too bad. The only thing I would change Is their salsa, not hot at all. Food was delicious ?

We were vacationing in the Phoenix area and wanted some good Mexican food. We chose this place based on reviews and we were not disappointed!! The food was tasty, well prepared and plentiful!! The restaurant was very nice inside almost fancy. Our waiter was great polite, professional and perfectly attentive! Oh …. and my margarita was spot on?

We have eaten at Abuelo's many times and loved the food and service. We had found out that they had a private room for parties and decided to have a 50th Anniversary Party utilizing Abuelo's party room. Kelsie, one of their managers, was helpful and attentive helping us get our plan into motion. We arrived early to decorate the room and met our server, Kessina, who helped us get things in order. Kessina informed us that she would be the only server which I was quite skeptical as she would be taking drink and food orders from 30 people. Kessina proved to be a Rock Star! She managed all the orders without skipping a beat. Sooo attentive. Amazing! All food came out together and hot. Drinks flowing as well. The room is a great space for a small party. With 30 people we had plenty of room to move around and dance. The room was ours all afternoon into the evening. I would highly recommend Abuelos for lunch, dinner and especially if you are planning a small party and want a private space. The only negative is that the room is a bit tired but once decorated it came to life.

I shared the Grande with my daughter. Overall, it was good but could have used some more flavor. I would like to have put some hot salsa on it, but the waiter never came back to the table to get us anything until we were done. I ordered a beer when I sat down and did not get it until 25 minutes later, at the same time dinner was served. I could see it was busy, but our waiter had too many tables and really not able to handle them all. Would try again with hopes of better service.
