A hidden gem. Definitely the best General Tso's chicken you will ever eat. Egg drop soup and those cream cheese won tons are great. Good price. You will not be disappointed.
I was in the area and I was hungry. Tasty Joe's is a medium sized place - plenty of tables. It is mostly clean, but has a run down look and there's clutter all over the place. That's fine. The staff were friendly, helpful, and prompt. Prices were reasonable, perhaps cheaper than comparable places in Mesa. I rate it low because the food was not very good. I had the Mongolian beef. When it comes out within a few minutes, it doesn't give the impression that it is fresh. Perhaps it was, but it was just bad. It's hard to rate a place from just one visit. This could have been an off night or perhaps it was just this dish. My rating is based upon one visit and one particular dish - so that's a pretty small sample space.
We've been going here for a few years now and it's always so good. Our kids love the orange chicken, and I love the Kung pao chicken.Husband tried the beef chow fun tonight and loved it
I've eaten a Tasy Joe's alot. I don't know what has happen but the quality has gone way down. Last night I ordered lemon chicken which is suppose to be a then filet, fried then sliced on a bed of cabbage. What I got was soggy deep dried chicken nuggets with lemon sauce. UGH ! I will be eating there again.
We really enjoy Tasty Joe's food. One of our favorite places. Our out of town folks always ask to eat there when they are in town. You will not leave hungry since the portions are generous. The food is delicious! The facility is clean and the staff is very friendly.
Well this was a great place but now they have decided that they are going to force me to order $40 worth of food to have it delivered down the street from them even though the website says $20. What a rip off! I'm one person and can't afford or need that much food. Absolutely ridiculous!!!!!!
The sweet sour pork, large portion, however it really is deep fried pork bites. One small slice carrott, one piece pineapple, two green pepper slice, the sauce was seperate in smallest container possible.Chicken chop suey? Where's the chicken?I will cross this place off myist. You should also.?
My experience always good at Tasty Joes . But last night wonton soup mushy and not fresh. Wontons in broth way too long so evidently not a fresh patch. The fried rice totally bland with tiny minced veggies. We added chicken but no flavor. Calling tomorrow to see if another cook was preparing on Sunday. Not their usual standard of quality. 31.00 for two items was a bit high but it’s never an issue if the taste and quality is there.
