I've been here twice. The first time, I came in just after some guy had come in with a knife and the cops were called but never showed up even though they're literally a half a block away. The second time, there was some event happening in downtown Mesa and they were struggling to keep themselves stocked enough to make sandwiches. I settled for a meatball sandwich minus two meatballs cause they were out. Both times, there were shady-lookin ppl hanging out in the parking lot, which is not well-lit at night. I suggest a day trip there just to be on the safe side. I only came here cause the one we frequent is being renovated.
Such a sweet man working here ALL BY HIMSELF!!! With TONS of customers. What an amazing sweet worker you guys have. Please don’t abandon your coworker and make him work alone again!!!!!!!! Sweet amazing worker. There shouldn’t be just one, that’s how you lose your amazing employees. Value this guy he’s a good one!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Closed ½ hour early so I didn't get a chance to experience the product but I did get to experience their customer service, when I pulled in to park one of their employees was out taking the trash out, as I departed my vehicle about 6 feet away from him and made my approached toward the restaurant he didn't acknowledge me in the least, instead he let me walk all the way around the restaurant to watch another employee lock eyes with me and turn the lock on the front door and then reach over and click the OPEN sign off while maintaining eye contact..... Not cool....
Great food clean store. The 2 young lady’s that were running the store were doing a very good job of making sandwiches quickly and efficiently which I very much appreciate. When I was there last I was behind a very rude and disrespectful also aggressive customer this man was yelling at the girls working there and threatening to call there boss when he was was the one who forgot to say he did not want his sub toasted. Instead of being this to the sandwich artist’s attention so they could correct his mistake he instead starts yelling and screaming and threatening. Give me a break I was a witness to the entirety of this interaction front row seats. This gentleman was absolutely in the wrong and just far to insecure to accept it. So instead he tried to make it someone else’s fault by being loud and rude. Give me a break the only one believing in his story is himself. The subway gals remained calm and attempted to please the man but he was inconsolable. I think subway should be proud of how these young lady’s handled the situation and hire more like them. I’ll add their names next time I stop in!
Tried to eat here last night at 8pm and there were two men inside and one outside the subway. I walked in with my two kids and the lady there shouted that the food stamp machine was down and pos. I pointed to the open sign and she said they were closing. As I left a man asked for water and she stated he had to pay for water (you can't do that in AZ).I went to another subway and at at the university location and noticed on my way home over 30 min later, this location still said open but both employees were sitting in the dark chatting. Definitely would not recommend.
I used to eat here all the time and I still do staff is pretty friendly
Got to this location at 837 pm, 20 min before closing and was told they are no longer serving guest had to leave. 03/30/22. I think if your not serving guest before closing maybe you should lock doors
The two women that work there afternoons/evenings are always courteous and pleasant. The guy started off well (several months ago) but now seems unhappy and with attitude. It's a shame that customers can't enjoy the outdoor seating as the the front and side outdoor patios are dominated by homeless encampments...for *hours* on end. Staff has to constantly chase the riff-raff out of the restrooms. Food is actually good, and only occasionally are they out of an ingredients. Bigger problem is when they close unexpectedly (either due to staffing problems or a broken cash register).
I ordered a meatball sub and I asked for it toasted but after the veggies were put on. I was severely fatigued this day so I didn't realize until I sat on their patio and took about two bites when I realized that the meatballs weren't hot, but room temperature. None of the sandwich was hot and the bread wasn't toasted but soft. When I took it back inside the girl told me she could place it back into the toaster over (after I already bit off it) and I told her it was bitten into. I told her and the other employee that it would not be sanitary to place a sandwich it's already been touched and eaten back into the toaster oven and the male employee started telling me that it probably wasn't hot because the vegetables were put on it and I had reminded him that I asked him to toast it after I put the vegetables on and that it should the whole sandwich to be hot and when I told him that it would be unsanitary and against health code to put a sandwich back in the toaster oven that's already been bitten off of especially because of covid-19 he pointed out that I did not have a face mask on justify what they wanted to do. I asked them a couple times to just remake the sandwich and they would not be make the sandwich. I kept trying to tell them that the initial main problem is that the meatballs weren't hot to begin with they were below the temperature they should have been this is the 31st time I've had a bad experience at his restaurant never going back
You really need to update your hours of operation. So people, like me don't waste out time going to something that isn't open!
